New Middle eastern coalition?

The idea of a new 'team' is on alot of peoples minds, Isreal would be nice but then again it does add another allie and takes some attention away from the Angalo/American forces along with giveing the pressed Dev's more work.
So this is a proposal is for the MEC to be totaly modified to keep the plebs happy, and of corse this is only an idea.
One:To start it off; the needs for a story line that include. Why, Who (Syria,Morroco,Iran and so on), How and where did the MEC fourm and a depiction of what there army will/has been equiped with. Also a reason why the US and UK decided to interfear - If this is the correct word.
Two:Misc item's should be adressed, for exsample: We mappers need guidelines (No fighing in Europe/Arctic/Austrilasia?), we cant make maps that dont suit the matter and if the MEC are just defending there homeland for whatever reason, we cant make a map about a friskey little town in Ilanois. Haveing said all of that, we cant be expected to just fight in the same climates that we are stuck with on BF2.
Three:Composition of the army, as i have already stated that the Dev's are already pressed so the MEC cannot take too much work to be reconfigured; Simple things like kit layouts are probably already in or out of the devs editing studios.

I'd love to see a revamped MEC, but I think it would just take too much time

I would love to see a list of items that the possable MEC should use.

RPG-7, RPG-29, PKM, AK-47, T-80, BDRM (or BRDM, I always forget), BMP, Frogfoot, Hind, T-72, VSS
Maybe they could get their hands on some European weapons, such as the Sig 550 sniper, HK G3, FN FAL, FN FNC, etc

Uzi is israeli. Doubtful they'd get their hands on many of those.

Western European weapons are also iffy. Anything russian goes though.

Hmm, true. Euro weapons seem popular with a few insurgents (FN FAL and HK G3, at least)

Old, perhaps surplus weapons that were pushed out of general millitary use. Nothing really new though.

how is it hard to get your hands on an uzi? there are some many knock off russian and chinese models.
about the MEC, fix the aks 74u (spec ops gun) add rpg, replace t90 w/ t80 or 72, and add the BMP

Cerberus: that is mainly because FN-FAL and G3 are so old that they can be acquired as surplus from other armies phasing them out. That, and at one point in time in the past FN-FAL were made in colossal number in various clone form.

I belive they have sold so many of these weapons over the years that it isn't really too hard to find them. Many military units do not like them due to thier inaccuracy from a high rate of fire. More likely that a Muslim would be caught dead, then use a Jewish weapon though, so I doubt that any Islamic force would use them as well.

At this rate, might as well change the mod into "Operation Desert Storm" with that list of equipment.

Here is my idea of a new MEC army
MBT - T72M1 with ERA
APC - Al-Fahd
http://www.army-technology.com/projects/al_fahd/
(For the AA vehicle like the M6 i think its best using 2 systems, one with the gun weaponery like the shilka and one with the missles, bouth can work together for best air defense)
AAA - ZSU-23-4 Shilka
SAM - SA13
Utility Truck - Fahd 4X4
http://armyrecognition.com/moyen_orient ... iption.htm
FAV - same as the Base unit.
Fighter Aircraft - MIG29 same as original
Strike Aircraft - SU-24
Attack Hely - MI24D
Multi Role Hely - MI27
Sniper - same as original.
Special Ops - same as original.
Assault - AK-74/GP-30
Support - same as original.
Engineer - same as original.
Medic - AK-74
Anti Tank - RPG-16/PPSch 41 (i think this weapon although its "little bit" out dated can be used, i saw some pictures of US Marines use these babys in Iraq becouse of its 71 round magazine)

They'd have enough money to afford the newer AK series, like they do already.

Only for thier SF though. Average soliders would be equipped with 74s and 47s an chinese knockoffs, the stuff that is the cheapest and they've had forver.
