Ironshights

I couldnt find a topic about this so here we go.
Is it me or the new ironsights are utterly useless and unrealistic.
Im not talking just about the guns but also the UK/US light at (AT4) and to a lesser degree the MEC one. With the LAT ironshights its essentially impossible to make out what your are shooting at if it 20 meters away and you cant make it out with your peripheral vision.
Im pretty sure anyone shooting those would bring the sight close enough to have a decent view of whats down range.
Same goes for the rifle sights, especially for the G3. Again with any of the ironshight kits its essentially impossible to fire at anything beyond 20 meters.
My other problem is the current gun view while in ironsight mode. I find it very unrealistic and ineffective. If a US soldier can bring his red dot scope close enough to have a very decent view of his target how is it that a MEC soldier is limited to about 10% of the same visual scope.
Why were the ironsights changed anyway, what was the logic behind it?
I would definitely prefer a return to the old ironshights or a similar version of it as the current set up make a lot of kits pretty much useless when using the rifle.
