I just happened to see a link for the new AIX mod that came out not too long ago (I don't play it, but they have some good stuff), and did anyone else see this?

I don't know about you guys, but this made me really jealous of AIX.
I forget, do we have one in the works (actually, in the works, not just an existing thread in community mods)?

Anyway, I just thought I'd show everyone that didn't get to look in awe upon it.

I play the mod every now and again. They have a lot of crazy stuff in there. If you can imagine something more vanilla than vanilla, you are imagining AIX2. They have every weapon that has been suggested on these forums and more.

I hate to offend any of the developers of the AIX mod, but to be honest, the models aren't quite built to the kind of quality that you would see in PR. They have a ton of models, but I would rather have one perfect M16 than a bunch of average tacticool guns.

I'm jealous; they have not one, but both Firefoxes.

oh i saw the ch-53 a while back and yeah i was super jealous. i dont know why anyone develops for any mod besides pr {and maybe FH2} the ch-53 looks really well done. and the AAV7 from another mod i cant remember the name, it looks sexy as hell too. these people should all just drop the mods they are with and come to PR. and especially the USI people

It's a shame the PR and AIX dev's don't work together for the greater good

No offence to PR but a lot of their vehicle models are superior to what I've seen in other mods to include PR. Weapons is hit or miss though.

Because they aren't 'developers on call' like some hookers and they enjoy what they do. Most mods aren't made for tons of people to play them, but because a few guys have fun doing it most of the time.

PR modders and the ones who did FH1 s is the best in my book. Of all games. Never tried AIX but the screenshots are cool.

i got aix a few days ago. its like super vanilla... i got about 300 kills flying an apache on sharqi peninsula (dare i speak its name in these sacred forums). they have loads of cools stuff like KA-50 Hokums and Hinds and stuff but a **** load of stupid things aswell like an AS-50 rifle that shoots 40mm garandes for some reason... and those sr71 blackbirds that were developed for spy missions... but for some reason you use them for ground attack and air to air engagements =p

This looks awesome.

Fine with me. But as the multiplayer is concerned, apart from cooperative against bots I do not imagine it to be so much fun. Even POE2 was for me a disapointment in Multiplayer - not enough teamwork, be it asset enforced or not. POE2 was fun in Singleplayer, though.

there a lot of games out there, i cant try them all. and alot of them show some nice screens but still ive no idea if theres fun when playing it.

FH2 does deployable hmgs and you can press G to pick it back up and then deploy it somewhere else which is pretty bad ***

And what would that add to PR? .50's are too heavy to be picked up and carried by one guy, and the LMGs have a deployed fire mode (bipod).

Exactly, all other BF2 mods should be merged with PR under its supremacy! So many good modellers and mappers are wasting their time... :/

i only play air in that mod.
ok, i snipe on infantry maps but that's it. it's good fun.

the one thing that ruins the whole mod is cappable main bases. the air power is so dominant that baseraping and capping mainbases isn't hard. games become a battle of mainbase capping instead of fighting over the middle flags. some think it's fun but i don't.

just because a mod isnt "realistic" dose not mean it sucks and the DEV's should come work for PR. AIX is better than PR... in its role(fun arcadey, lots of stuff) same with all other mods ARE better than PR in there desired area.
