It seems to me that the White bleed out screen either doesn't work with 2 cards in SLI- or that the new Nvidia drivers some how disable it. I have not seen that white screen since I updated my drivers about 2 months ago- and just realized that I was missing the Screen blur thingy.

well i got no problems atm exept visa hehe got lagy on ramiel when i got evry thing on high. its strange when i dont lag on korengal albasrha and all the big city maps

AFAIK BF2 has problems with 2GPU solutions (So that includes 9800GX2 and 4870X2) but as I don't use either or even 2 cards I cant say.

Have you tried disabling SLI?

i heard that you need 1)New nvidia drivers 2) latest DX(November, AFAIK) and your whitescreen will disappear

Ive no probs playing BF2/PR with SLI right now. Earlier i had a serious Problem to Alt+Tab out of the Game without having BSOD, but installed a new driver (Forceware 178.24 at that time) and that Problem was history. Obviously it seems to be a driver issue!

system:

OS: WIN XP SP3
MB: Asus P5N-E SLI
GPUs: 2 x Geforce 8800 GTS 320 mb
CPU: C2D 4300 @ 3 ghz
RAM: 3 x 1 gb

I just dont have the bleed effect on my computer, having the 9600GT

I posted a similar prob in a thread a while back that came to no real conclusion. I have a 4870x2, and instead of the B&W 'cough and bleed' screen i just get a completely black screen with white dots...obviously a serious handicap! but yours sounds like it could be to your advantage if iv read it correctly...if so, then good on you for reporting it

This is happening to me as well, I get the smaller white screen and then nothing happens. I have Nvidia Geforce 6600gt. I don't think it has anything to do with SLI or twin video cards. I can tell you what I did do which was reinstall bf2 and PR patches and all. Reinstall my Video card and sound card drivers. I also made sure to use drive cleaner to delete all the hidden system files. I also cleaned out the obsolete registry files. I defraged reinstalled Java, Reinstalled Directx 9.0c, I also scanned for viruses using spybot, ad-ware & AVG. Nothing out of the ordinary found. When I tried to scan using Norton the screen wouldn't open, but the program was running. So I think the same thing that's stopping PR and BF2 from opening is the same thing thats stopping norton from opening.

Nothing worked for me so I'm hoping someone can figure this out so I don't have to reformat. Maybe I'll try some old Nvidia driver...
I've had these drivers in for 4 months no problem all of a sudden one day this happens.
