Medic bag ammo?

I thought this would have been thought of before, but no topics have shown up regarding this matter. Currently the Medic bag has an unlimited amount of healing materials. I think this thing should have about "100" ammo, and each person the medic heals fully, takes up "10" of that ammo. Cause obviously we aren't going to have a medic bag with an unlimited amount of supplies.

Lol that hadn't even crossed my mind. Its a sensible suggestion but the rate at which medics actually heal, i dont think it matters too much...

It is a valid suggestion but will it be something we want gameplay wise? I mean, theres enough to worry about as is. Do you want to slow the game down even more? Make the medic class even harder? People dont want to go medic that often as is. Making it a harder class makes even less people want to medic.

medic is hard enough with healing everyone, dont need to have him conserve his med bag in circumstances too.

i think its a good idea..it will make infantry rely more on supply lines and helicopters...and if you have a rifleman in your squad (wich you should) theres shouldnt be a problem about running out of ammo

I think that is hardcoded. Thats one of the reasons why the field dressings & ammo bag etc have to be tossed and cant simply be used by clicking on the one to resupply, iirc.

i dont think it is because in bf2 0they had it so it dies as you heal..but it recharges...you can just remove the ammo recharge and it should work (so i think)

But but but more people will keep dying and less ritalin kiddies will play PR!!! Thank god we already have this highly unrealistic amount of medics in game already, or people wouldn't be able to play as carelessly as most (including myself) currently do!

I support it, I'm always wary of an infinite supply of anything.
Alternatively, maybe the medic bag will still be usable when it runs out of "ammo", but it will heal faster as long as it has the ammo - simulating the medic healing better as long as he still has his good medical supplies, and only bandaging when he's out of the good stuff.
This will keep the medic usable while still giving him incentive to resupply.

I don't like this idea. Amongst other things i can already see the tk's of angry nublets who chased round a medic expecting to be healed filling the airwaves. And reguardless it is It's hardly an issue anyway.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

but it is broke....tahts the problem..its the same as the ammo bag...i really doubt ppl will teamkill because the medic is out of supplies...theyll just understand hes out.....and no one said it had to be like healing 10 ppl..it can be changed maybe to 15 or 20...im just asking for a limit...plus if they know the medic can heal them for the smallest things then nubs will play with more causion

Limited ammount of epipens is enough, imo. To limit the bag as well, will just be a pain in the *** gameplay wise, and give the average squad way less time to live.

People already ***** medics out and give up prematurely there's several casualties that the medic has to deal with. Add to that the possibility that he'll run out of medic ammo in mid heal, and there's gonna be people throwing fits that there isn't any morphine left for them because someone else got it. Oh, and forget intersquad cooperation - medics would hoard their supplies and not waste them on blue guys.

That's real life and that's why you get supply drops. and there shouldn't be intersquad cooperation anyways in medic terms, the squad should have its own medic.

^yeah, but how often do you get supply drops in PR? On an average server the team is rearly that organized, but of course this vary alot. And the medic would run out pretty quickly, which means a dead squad, or a short operational radius.

yea the idea is great but it will work best in a squad vs squad scrim with high level of organisation. For the regular average joe the plumber it wont work. Because Joe hasnt got the time to join a clan so only plays the odd match now and than in a pub server with almost no cooperation between choppers, trucks and infantry.
Getting supply's for a firebase can most of the times be a tough job. If choppers need to bring supply's to an infantry squad (on Muttrah there are like 4 infantry squads in a game) than it will be even harder to get a firebase up. Or get those supply's.
Its a neat idea and in a perfect world I would love to see this. But it wont work in PR

the limit of epipens is OK, but I often play as a medic and i imagine it as hard to deal with limits of bandages!
