using the map...

I have a question about the map (The main one, brought up with Capslock or M) Not the mini-map.

Is there a limit to the number of things you can see or a range limit on the map?

Earlier on I was looking at the map and team-talking to someone who said they were in A4. I was in like D7 and could not see them on the map, but I could see a friendly tank in about A5.

It started a small "argument".

Can this be clarified pls? Is it a limit on the number of things you can see or a limit on the range? What is this pls?

You can see every player on the map or the vehicle he/she is manning.
Unmanned vehicle can only been seen within a certain range (500m?)

You can't see vehicles or their occupants if they have no driver, though. So if said person was in a Humvee, sitting on the gun with no one else in it, it would only show up if you're as close as you need to be to see unoccupied vehicles.

Didn't know about the range of vehicles, nice.

Ok, thanks for that. So it's only 'un-driven' vehicles that you can't see.

Cheers.

^Correct, I can't quite remember the distance limit to be able to see them though. Something like 500-1000m?
