I got the idea when I shot a driver driving his tecnical right at me so y not add the ability to duck under when u drive just as u would in a MG. sure u cant see wats on the road but u be much safer

I doubt that bit of metal you'd duck behind would actually stop rifle bullets.

It has been suggested before as well.

I have to ask, duck were? I've not met any fully grown men or women who can duck into their cars footwell in the same way you could duck in a turret. Certainly not in anyway that would actually be useful or look like anything more than you were trying to lick the steering wheel

look i mean i dint say it gonna stop a HEAT shell it just might help if ur rushing a APC witha sucide car. and ucould duk behind the steering whel

In real life, ducking behind a steering wheel would help about as much as throwing a newspaper on the windshield when faced with a hail of 7.62x51mm rounds. About the only thing in a civilian pickup truck that could stop them is the engine block.

well its not rediculious if it were on every vechicle.

Yea but people also tend to aim for the windshield. It might only be a psychological difference but the shooters too would have to deal with it.

When you shoot at a driver what are you aiming for? I'll bet most people aren't saying 'THE ENGINE BLOCK' or 'the rocker panels, DUH!' Also, aren't many of the other light personnel vehicles in PR armoured against small arms? What good are those bolt on Humvee armour kits good for otherwise?

But yo cant shoot though cars in PR... so the person in the car would essentially become a ramming vehicle that you couldnt really stop effectively... instead youd NEED at or a ton of fire to stop it.. far from realistic and terribly terribly gamey. People already ram way more than they should[not at all/once in a blue moon]

well if thats the case have it so that simply the hit zone is smaller to that of when in a sitting position.

not to the extent that u only get the smallest amount to shoot, half or a quarter of what it is for sitting up right, that way it does reduce the amount of fire u take, but isnt to the extent u cant kill the driver still.

What if it ISNT 7.62x51mm rounds. Penetreating a car is hareder IRL than most people belive, hollywood you know! It was kinda hard penetreating an old Hilux(similar to techinacal if not the same) with an 8x57mm krag.

Watch mythbusters, they shoot a car with both 5.56 and 7.62 round. And almost every bullet went penetrated both sides of the car.

Well when you duck you should not be able to do anything. Just like when you duck on the 50 cal
