I will confess you, that I haven't played the 0.8 of PR, because my net (but now with Sp, will), and just wondering, about this screen :
1 - Is this the real draw distance ?
2 - Is the fires on center, constant ?
3 - Is this the standart (not mode) BF2 buildings ..
4 - On some spots, like two inches right on the center, there's blue-gray square (like oil spot), what is thi, bug ?!.
5 - What was the model of the american "kalashnikov" (black, plastic), and is it permitted to use it, by asking (what else), in the Us army ..

5)i think you're talking about the export version of AK, which is AK104 ->
Modern Firearms - Kalashnikov AK-102, AK-104, AK-105 assault rifles and no, americans don't use AKs

1. I don't know. I don't think i've ever been able to see that far.
2. yes, they are everlasting fires that make hell of a noise and burn anyone who comes near.
3. again, no idea. Probably not as there never were any large citymaps in vbf2.
4. That's no bug, it's open ground. Could be one of the landfills.
5. ... "excuse me, this is irrelevant is it?... i want my bloody parrot!"

US Army is on Ramiel, not Marine Corp.

1 No. But its actually got a really good view distance. Itd be nice to have it that big, but its really object heavy so it needed to be dropped down. And those black spots are where buildings arent drawing[thats another reason for the reduced view distance, so you dont see those so clearly
2 Fires/roadblocks are constant and so is the smoke
3 Mix of standard buildings and PR buildings. Enterable PR buildings are scattered around to provide a place for caches and rally points. Mostly original bf2 buildings as there are more of them. I had a lack of buildings, but did my best to make it not look TOO repetitive
4 The blue grey spots are actually small areas of concrete, but they look funny from far away, especially because the black spots near them are the shadows of objects that arent showing up
5 Dont know what youre asking here, sorry mate
Overall, its a decent map, but as my first map I look back on it with a good deal of pity and regret

Can only go up from here!

1. That ain't the original view distance, I'm pretty sure at least, the view distance for Ramiel is 500m, that looks to be about 1500ish.

I mean, in real life - on discovery, somewhere in the desert, they demonstrate it how "indestructible" is really, an the name was something american (not ak-47), this was version for US army, just because (I think) to say, that they make that modification, not the 20-30 another manufactures of this weapon (AK variables) in USA ...
And I want to ask - is it there chance, to bring back the most beautiful PR map - Raid on Moskye (re-worked, of course) ?

Any AKs you see Americans using in Iraq are those they got in theater, they're not issued.

I remeber watching the same thing, if we're talking about the same (somehow I doubt it). And that was a civilian version sold and manufactured in Las Vegas. US Army is not issued any kind of Kalashnikov-rifle.

I think he is talking about the the HK416. It's has a short-piston gas chamber rather than the direct gas of the standard M4/M16. It is akin to an ak in that its reliability is much greater than a standard m4 when subjected to mud/dust/water/grime etc. There is also another similar system out there but i have forgotten what it is.

Okita!
Can you translate the japanese writing you colormapped in light neon blue on this
confidential area of the map? I know about the one under the building, but I wish I could read japanese to be able to understand the other one heh.

Or is that your signature? (Aren't they in red normaly?)

I think he's using "Kalashnikov" as a synonym for "rifle".
In that case, you're thinking of the M16A4.
