After advice from the TMBN lads, I'm going to make different versions of the HK416 assault rifle to reflect the fact that it is soon to be deployed in Afghanistan. WIPs will go in this thread.

HK416 w/Aimpoint CompM4:

Just move the Aimpoint as far forward as possible, and the buttstock is of the older type which is all over internet. Should be this one.

It's use some of the HK-417 models? Because if yes, you can use my UV maps and Tetxures. If no, it will be a pleasure make UVs and Tetuxres for it.

Thanks a bunch. I thought the one I used was the newest kind.

Why are the Aimpoints placed that far forwards, anyway? What little experience with red dots I have is airsoft, and I prefer having the sight close to my eye for faster target acquisition.

Some parts are the same, yeah. The 417 is basically a modified 416.

Oh, and by the way, would you care to resize your sig to max 550x200? Forum rules...

KP can you adjust the model for the Dutch HK416 + eotech a bit so that it can be used like a red dot weapon ingame, according to Halvor that is missing from the model.

That way you can put a night vision sight in front of the aimpoint. And while there's only an aimpoint there, your field of vision is greater which makes it easier to notice movement in the periphery.

That's because You need the space behind the sight for the 3x/night optics mount. There should also be a rail "slot" available on the right side of the handguard for a light: M3xIlluminator

Could You also add the covers? I know it's not the same version =)

So you use the same light on the 416 as on the Glock? 'Cause in that case, I can nab exec's light.

Whos going to be using it in Afghanistan? I was just talking to a special forces guy yesterday, and he said they actually took away his 416.

Everyone is going to use it. The norwegian army has ordered 8000 of it for now and they have most of it I think and the army itself counts 10 000 guys in peace time that is just for the army part not air and sea. Most of these again is only on their duty year and have no interest in getting more then that year in the army.

So most guys that is going to A-stan has the H&K 416 now atleast.

And what special forces guy is he from Telemarksbataljonen or FSK/HJK? Problibly some more units of special forces in Norway to but I dont know all the names.

Oh **** I didn't notice this was the Norwegian Forces Mod, sorry. The guy I talked to was a US soldier, not Norwegian.

Well, you did a bloody good job on the 417, so if you're up for the 416...

Anyway, updated the model a bit, with different optics and the M3X flashight. Will get the buttstock fixed as well.
