I thought it might be more realistic and fun to add cargo planes in larger maps. They could drop supply crates, airlift people, transport vechiles, even drop vechiles. I know of some Battle Field 1942 mods that have made some planes which can transport and drop vechiles but I have not seen any in BF2 yet.

If you think that this isn't realistic because they need airports the military C-130's, and C-17's are capable of rough terrain landings and can even airdrop light tanks onto the battlefield.

Main problem is they are just too big in add into a map. This is the reason Heli are able to drop crate.

Also, most maps are simply not big enough to realistically incorporate these things.
