Have warning after missile is fired?

I'm sick of having that ****ing noise go off for 30 straight seconds and a missile never even gets fired. How about the warning only goes off when a missile is tracking you?

Not a bad idea. It would make jets more cautious because they won't know someone is locked on to them until they fire the missile. Not sure how realistic it is though? I don't know a whole lot about those kind of systems in real life, but I would assume that if the AA station could get a lock on the plane before firing the missile, the plane could detect that lock?

If the Missile is uses radar guidance, then it will recieve a lock on tone before the missile is fired.

If the missile is heat based, the pilot will only get a lock on tone once the missile is fired, but he will not recieve a tone while the missile is in flight.

the defensive suite that is equipped on tanks detects missile using IR spectrum sensors, laser designator warning, and another type which i can't recall, if the missile uses optical tracking then i don't see how they can be alerted to the missile guidance until the missile is fired. Of course, the tank were supposed to have thermal imaging as well which we don't have in game.
