I guyz, i was reading the forum ( as usaly...) and i saw some topics about Basrah and US/Brits map.

But, the real UK Defense minister said they will leave Irak by the end of May, so did the Devteam will put US back in ? or they will let the british there ?

Cause i'm pretty sure if the Brits leave Irak, that would force U.S. to redeploy in they're area right ?.

Or theyll leave it for the iraqi army and police force, which is the whole basis for the British Pulling out in the first place. I dont know whether the US will assume control because thats not the point. You might get a few units taking up british positions in training the iraqi army and police force and providing an extra asset to the iraqi government, but i doubt it will be anything like it is represented in the al basrah map.

any Iraqi Police/Army faction on the way ? may be but i dont know about it =D, so yeah in RL Iraqi army would assume there mess, but since we dont got that faction ingame, whats gonna happen ? thats my point.

the story for PR is the brist pulled out , army couldnt handle it so brits come back in.

US forces have enough on their plate without taking up the slack that we leave.

The Iraqi's feel they can now handle the security of the area. Leave the maps as they are because no doubt there will be several new maps in the near future. You could always download PRSP and modify the map yourself.

wont there be a element of brits in basrah for a while ? to help incase

The scenario of PR is fictional. No need to take the Brits out of Basrah in PR, as in PR, Basrah isnt safe or anything.

US forces are going to take over Basra Airbase after the British forces leave. They wont be there for long though.

Since PR is set in the "near future" there is no problem with that...

Brits will leave Iraq soon, but they can return "in the near future"

Mec will replace Brits...

If I'm not mistaken Obama plans to remove alot of troops from Iraq and place more attention on Afghanistan.

Remember PR is set in the future and not entirely on real life events, just loosely.

This is a good opportunity for MEC vs. almost-Taliban combat.

It would actually be interesting to see MEC vs insurgents. G3 vs AK47.

Insurgents would actually have a big advantage in CQC while MEC would have a huge advantage in long range engagements.

PR is only about reality, not exactly the same. Chinese and Allies are not at war in real life...
