I think ARVs (armored recovery vehicles) should be put ingame for clearing mines and repairing damaged vehicles like tanks and APC's, plus they can repair bridges and stuff.
another idea is adding bridge deployment vehicles to get across obsticles like rivers and clifs.

I was thinking about support vehicles. THey are far more realistic that enginneer, support adn medic class.
The main problem being is that at the moment there are not enough team work systems and commands. The maps alos need to be changed, BF2 was made for argady gameplay not REAl WARFARE. THis would mean more open ground, bigger maps with more objects - large open sand dunes, rivers (no crossings), long bridges, tight alleyways and wide motorways all on one MAP. And of cource the pilot class - only one that can drive/ fly vehicles and have to pass a test!!!!
But i belive once these are in place (i dout they will happen but hay) support vehicles can be implamented far more effectively than they would be now.
The vehicle them selve could include:
Challenger Armoured Repair and Recovery Vehicle (CHARRV)- this could clear mine fields and repair vehicles. Would include a crew of 2 (driver and commander, gunner) and it alos has a 7.62mm LMG. I belive this would be an excellent vehicle on levels with more that 2 MTB and 2 AFV. Keeping the action moving and encouraging team work.
Armoured Vehicle Launcher Bridge (AVLB) - this can lay bridge. NOthing more or less to this design. However i feel it use would be fairly limited. However all should be considered.
I will add more when i can find the book i was reading.
