the average bf2 puber...

lots of people say that this or that would not work out in regular PR play

but PR usually get the most mature gamers looking for a different kind of game

And the real noobs eventually go away because "boredom"

So is the average PR player better (as in more mature and follows orders)than the average bf2 player??

I would think so, from my own experiences at least. But I really have no statistics.

If you get on a decent server, you are almost guaranteed more mature players and a lot more organisation than vanilla. Of course, there are still lots of "noobs" and idiots on other servers.

Sure when you join a public server in PR , your going to find some teammates who want to co-op and play together

This doesn't make them "SMARTER" then someone who plays vbf2...

Maybe the level of common sense but not smarter.

If the question is whether the typical PR player is more mature than the typical vBF2 player then the answer is a resounding 'yes'!

I was watching a video of another BF2 mod and saw a player jump with a SAW blazing and shred three enemy players before going prone mid-air to take out two more. God! I am glad I do not play vBF2 anymore!

There isn't much of a difference. When I played vBf2 it was always on TTP and there was always teamplay. PR just demands a little more of a gamer. But there'll always be asshats.

And how does this make PR players more mature or smart? So if I would go and play Unreal Tournament, would I be less mature as well?

The answer is no. We are not smarter, we are not more mature, we are not better etc. The ony difference IMO is that here you get more cooperation because you need it to have fun, if vBF2 was made that way, then you would have as much cooperation there too.
PC games does NOT indicate one's maturity or intelligence at all...

Many real noobs stay away from PR, and many people buy BF2 just in order to play PR, because they dislike the BF2 gameplay, but enjoy PR.

I think that, while most of us are not "smarter" than BF2 players, we have less "causal" gamers and more "professional" types, in terms of tactical gameplay (but less "professional" score-hunters than BF2). So the AVERAGE is a bit smarter, yes, due to the "noobs" staying away and going to BF2 - but that doesnt mean most BF2 players are "noobs".

(With noobs I don't mean newbies here, but "smacktard" kind of players)

PR obviously attract players looking for a more serious, immersive experience, therefore, I believe most PR players are more mature or serious then typical vBF2 players wich are just looking to go rambo. But still, PR also have a lot of "immature" players wich I wonder why they are playing PR at all soloing armor, not using mic, not listenning to orders, not playing as a team at all.

Of course we are more mature. PR is all about serious teamwork and tactics. Noobs usually go with vBF2. They're not interested in this.

On the rare occasion every year or so I visit vbf2 i'm capable of shooting jets down with my tank....and I get top score, so...

Your average PR player is expected to be more mature than your average vanilla player. If you go and play vanilla, you can expect somebody to go and steal your tank when you get out to repair it, someone to TK you in order to get some frags on the enemy, etc. In the PR community, on the other hand, common courtesy and teamwork are usually taken for granted by most people. So, while both games might have their immature and mature players, the PR community as a whole is somewhat more mature.

More mature, yes. BF2 is cursed by an "every man for himself" mentality, which means that everyone focuses on their score first, with the team coming second. It doesn't matter that organized BF2 teams always beat rambo teams, because wins don't mean anything to those people. All that matters is "how can I get the best K/D ratio?", which is why people teamkill for the jets and helos regularly, and you have rounds where your team has only about 10 tickets left, but a bleed advantage, and the smacktards go out and try to snipe people, getting themselves all killed and losing the round, even though you could have won by just camping the flags.

Is the average PR player more mature? Probably. Not guaranteed but probably. I know lots of very mature and responsible guys who would just say 'F*%k it' and TK the **** out of their team.

Is the average PR player smarter? After a few weeks, I think he knows more about whats going on around him than a vanilla noob. Vanilla handicaps people so much that you don't have to think to get into the fight. PR makes you think. So yes I think PR makes you a smarter player by teaching you through experience things which aren't necessary for Vanilla play.

The average PR player is smarter then the average vBF2 player, because they saw that vbf2 was seriously lacking some core elements, and went in search of a better game.
