Improveing training mode

Because im sick of joining training servers to actually train and getting raped by AA or not haveing a runway to take off of. Most of these are for Kashan training, but could also be applied elsewhere.
Friendly Fire on runways
Add a Friendly Fire mechinism to the runways. It seems as though peoples favorite thing to do in an aircraft is blow up the runways so that others cant take off. Since it won't blow up for them anymore, it might inspire them to go shoot something else for a change. Addng something like a points deduction wouldn't work because people dont care about their points in training.
MEC AAV's leaveing the bombing range
I just came out of a server in which an AAV was hideing directly inside the hanger of Helo Training, but was far enough back to allow people to spawn. Now as i see it, the AAV's on the bombing range are just there for target practice. and since we cant remove the MEC team from the picture, maybe you can place a "Death Zone" around the outside of the Bombing Range. It would have to be large enough so that the MEC wouldnt dare to try to cross it in the given time, but still allow them to move around inside the Bombing Range.
Clutter
Whenever i go into a server, there has always been clutter of used or damaged vehicals at both airstrips. If somebody turnes a chopper over on its side, and then bails out, it just sitts there till the end of the round. Same if someone lands a jet and takes another one, simply because it's faster then waiting for it to repair and rearm. Not entirely sure how to address this one. If the "Abandoned Vehicals Lose Health" system from Vanilla was reimplimented, it would be a pain for the guy who stashed his DPV/ATV/Dirtbike in the mountains while he went and lasered targets for the bombers.
Now anyone who says "Training Mode is fine the way it is now" needs to go spend some time trying to get anything done in Battleforce Training. Others might say "set up a LAN training for yourself", but you can't learn to gun an attack chopper by yourself, or build a firebase, or practice Infantry movements. I'm at the edge of my sanity here trying to fend off the idiots on both teams. Something should be done, NEEDS to be done

Ye, we have seen this becoming more and more of a problem, the training mode was only made to help players learn bits of the mod and have a place to practices but more and more we see this being exploited and used for just essentially a PR with lots and vehicles and low respawns...
We intend to change the training mode in a few ways for v0.85 to stop it being used like it is now and how it was meant to be used.
for now I strongly urge server providers to decrease population sizes to 20 or less and to actually admin their server.
Please feel free to join iGi training pass = training

and contact an admin if you need help- we will be happy to oblige.
but you're suggestions are pretty good

I want it to be that both sides have all types of vehicles, so you can actully train, like get a buddy and dog fight and stuff

i figured that whould cause more problems then it would solve, so i didnt sugest it. it would be as he said earlier, PR with low respawn time and infinite vehicals. And i think thats why Battle for Qinling is a training map.

No, it's Qinling, but that's off topic.
Training mode needs to go back to what it was before it was an official part of PR. 'nuff said.

iirc destructible runways are being taken out altogether in 0.85

I think there like the training in .75, one map specifically designed for ALL the vehicles on it. or more insurgency maps training mode

Agreed; I have recently been on some training maps, minding my own business and people are coming from the bombing range with AA Vehicles and shooting at the firebases in the Infantry training area.
Moreover, I would like to see a map actually made for training instead of just using a tweaked map like Kashan Desert or Qinling. For example; there could be a firing range with multiple HMG's or stationary weapons to fire and torso sized targets and hunks of junk to aim for.

training servers will no longer be visible in the server browser for normal servers, but only when you select the training tab, which will hopefully cut down on players accidentally joining a training server when they thought they were joining a real server.
Search and Ye shall Receive Hallelujah

! or maybe 'eureaka!' would be better?
there is significant armounts of DEV input on that front
And, I'm not gonna find the thread for you (its in community modding afaik) but there is one or two threads about making these maps as well by community modders

Maybe add a "Goofy game-mode" where you can just do almost whatever you like, in addition to the improved, _training_ mode

. I only play on training server(s) when I need to let some steams out or when I just simply don't have time for a normal game (to fully enjoy them, you need to stick around to the end of the round, which usually takes quite a lot of time). However, training servers - as they are now - can piss you off EXTREMELY well. Raping bombing range in Kashan is one of the main reasons for heli- and airbase raping. US rapes MEC base with gunships, infantry, jets and tanks without any mercy. That really, REALLY pisses the MEC off which drives them to go baseraping the US bases as soon as they get a chance to leave the bombing range safely. Seems like it's all about revenge.

I still think people that stick around on these servers deserve what's coming to them, if you really wanna train then go to a server where that's not happening.
Destroyable runways are kinda cool, but they are synonymous with baseraping, would be cool if we could have automated AA systems for airfields, so if a pilot really wanted to brave it he could and could be rewarded for it, but bots take up server slots which stops the mod using bots for defence duties unfortunately.

maybe a cone of death for each team separately would work, but there is already only a small area to fly in

For the LAST time, it is a BOMBING RANGE!!! you have 2 other places to spawn, and most servers have auto-balance off. there is no logical reason for you to be out there, so why are you complaining about "rape" when you have other places to spawn.

I love training mode because its very useful to train... But if there is to be any major changes in future training mode and maps, please, can we have atleast 1 or 2 vehicles of each type and faction on the map so we can train with each and every of them on a single map ?
Plus, having a specifically designed map for training would be very nice with shooting range, obstacle race, etc. etc.
About airstrip destroyed, I think it will not be possible anymore with 0.85...
Although, players are hardcoded, best solutions to smacktard is to have admins ban them...
