Some suggestions. How about intoducing a surpressive fire marker next to the attack defend and move marker ?
Could the wounded be visible for the entire 2 minutes on the minimap for medics ?

I think the medic showing timer is hardcoded in some way... not totally sure, but I recall hearing that.
But what you can already do in game is right click the give up button and it will call out again for a medic. I BELIEVE it will renew your timer to show your reviveable icon. You can right click as many times as you want, too.

agree with medic suggestion
imo suppressive fire marker is useless, because if SL needs suppress somewhere he puts any marker there and give order through VOIP

But the option would encourage more people to use supressive fire wouldn't it?

Not really, theres already a move marker and an attack marker. The move marker is to move to a location and the attack marker is most commonly used for pointing out a location to fire upon.
Sometimes SLs use the attack marker as a "move here and attack" and sometimes just "shoot here" but its always done over VOIP which they mean.
Its not too hard as it is and it already makes sense

Adding a distinction between attack and suppress is, imho, unneeded clutter

Plus there would be no sound file for suppressive fire. It would still be "Attack this position!" with a different icon. Thats not easier than just putting an attack marker and saying "suppress!"

QTF , just put attack maker and say "suppress that marker" over voip.
also Okita is right (i found that out last week) right click suicide calls out medic, though you can get blocked by bf2 for spamming so use it wisely

Getting squad members to suppress is not easy. I put attack commands and then keep saying, 'Shoot the attack command, shoot the attack command, shoot the attack command.' I just keep saying it until the threats are gone. Rightfully so, people tend to look for targets before shooting but the suppression effect is so effective that I encourage the squad members to shoot first and look later on live attack commands.
Putting a suppress command on the commo rose might be cool but the attack command is adequate.

For some reason I can only call out twice for medic when wounded.

by left clicking, yes.
but if you bring up the caps lock map, and RIGHT click on the "give up" button you will call out, thus reactivating your icon[as far as i understand it]

This is new information for me. Let me see if this is in the guide yet.
On the medic note, can the fading bodies be replaced with someething else? A quick texture swap to make a bloody body, and animated body for the wounded, constant moaning for the wounded or something similar? Too often I try to revive a dead body.
Come to think of it, that is actually quite realistic. Maybe keep that in.

It works, just make sure you don't left click on it

I am rather annoyed with markers atm, I want them to be removed from teh 1st person view and only to be seen in the map. hijack over.

I'm sure people will trust me when I say, this works 100%, do NOT click too fast or it will do the "stop yacking and get off this net" bollocks.
On topic- Suppresive fire marker not needed, place attack marker "suppress this target" very simple and more flexible imo.
Fading bodies have been a good placeholder, if possible, its time to move on from that imo

ah okay, I used to left click outside the menue and you have only 2 tries there. Yah I guess no time in spending time coding prolonged revivie markers then.
