Can anyone tell me if the physics for the helicopters, are they per vehicle or just a global thing.

This is one of my gripes…..I’m playing the AXI Mod and although everything is a touch too easy on it the Helicopters are a joy to use…….There stable and there whole range seems better…the heavy helicopters react like they should under professional use like the military……

I know they are trying to make Pr based on Skill, but lets face it no one playing PR would never even got off the ground on such machines….,yeah I know you get deluded soles thinking there hot shot pilots, try it for real then come back….but most of the time you should be thinking about tactics and the fight rather than that’s the fourth Heli that just flipped…..

I think if you go the Pilot kit it should come with the understanding that’s your military trained………..so yes you can land it were you want…I could taxi all day with the AXI Model but even with good PR skills the model is just too twitchy and the power is wrong. In saying that I can take the little bird through the streets like a car but I really don’t know what the Model in PR is going to do next.

Sounds like a bunch of jibberish ^^

Comparing the handling of how choppers feel in 2 different mods is just a preference thing, BF2,PR and AIX are not flight/rotary sims, and can not be compared as such.

Flipping choppers is a whole other story, as you can not control who flys, drives and operates the different assets in-game (unless server rules say otherwise)

But the solution to your problem is easy if you don't like flying in PR (like me) stay on the ground :)

I know that in PR the helicopters are far less maneuverable than they should be. If they want helicopters to be realistic then they need to give them agility to do so. Right now attack helicopters are used very unrealistically. US helicopters are supposed to hide behind terrain, fly low, pop out and shoot. You need to give them incentive to do so. Instead, everyone flies really, really high bombards the place then scoots off. This also means that maps will have to be designed with this in mind.
