Hi, i think one of the things holding PR back is that the maps (well most of 'em) are the same as vanilla ones. Perhaps removal of most vanilla maps, and the addition of some new ones would make PR feel more unique??
what are you thoughts??

New maps are in prodcuton for PR yes, But I dout the vbf2 maps will go. They can sit in the list and if any 1 wants to play them they can.

I think all the vanilla maps need the PR mapping guidlines applied to them:
vehicle respawns
flag caps timers etc
Alot of the vanilla maps are really good once you take out all the constant supply of vehicle after vehicle, that just seem to steam into flag zones and oblitirate everything because the AT class is so underpowered. And by the time people have switched, 30 odd seconds later, its too late

what i think the vanilla maps need are assaulting maps the enemy starts off with their UCB and the next flag to be taken starts off as white.

The marines didn't seize the temple.
In respect for the culture, etc. we trained the Iraqi armi to attack the temple - we didn't actually do it.

Yea maps are what make any mod interesting. I am persoanlly getting very tired of all the maps, including SaK2 and SteelThunder + the frustration of total idiots playing is making PR not much fun as of late.

ABR needs to go. people are starting to resort to stat paddding. when i am squad leader on a non ranked server and i ask if anyone can spawn anti tank, i usually can find soemone to do it. on ranked i can never get anyone to do it

yeah it kind of sucks, there are those of us who like ABR simply to see k :d ratio and the like for different kits weapons and stuff.
then there are the stat pad guys... which i dont get.... its not like they are getting unlocks or anything

Agree, we are getting a lot of vanilla noobs in this mods, we should BAN them

,once and for all.The other day i was in a server that for a moment i thought i was in vanailla, i had to check, they had the arty up, the vehicle and all that crazy $#!t respawning, so i guess that we are getting to famous and too good, and this is paying off with some noobs in the mod, we need to do something, to deal with this.
Note: My definition of Noob: Ya all that are new playing but take this serious, my opolagies to u, but i call noobs to those that make the game horrible, not to those that started playing the other day, we all passed thru that, just dont mess up the whole game plz.

I was there too, I remember on Wake Island 2k7 you had enough and went off on them about how vanilla it is to have arty and all that **** turned on

haha, I think I was in that server too

Was damn annoying as the commander just wanted to arty everyone. The vehicles were being used to knock us down more than shoot us with their weaponary or transport troops. Not cool. I think one of the ZiiP fellas was our commander. He did a good job

Plenty of comms and good leadership.
On the subject of ABR, I don't mind if it stays or goes. I don't have the client, so I just ignore any awards I get, as I won't keep them.

My thing is people who are obvlivious to AAS and attack flags that cant be taken.
On Steel thunder I had a squad and was moving as USMC from the dam up the east to construction, half way there the dam goes grey so I start to move back and give a move waypoint and tell my squad in text to move back, but no they just keep on going to the other flag.
When there are 20ppl in the server 10 on your team and 3 out in the middle of nowhere and 3 or 4 are attacking a flag that cant be taken and the rest might be doing what they should, makes for a pointless frustrating game. lately I have been not wanting to even play because of all the idiots. Its sad when 1 player actually trying to win or take a flag has more impact than 6 guys half assing and being sissies running around getting killed.

I personally think ABR should also go since it doesn't add anything to the game except stat paddlers and just get people interested in their k :d ratio instead of winning the actual game. It is different in Vanilla since people need incentive to do certain things like blackhawk pilot, or be engineer, and the goodsides outweight the bad ones on their, but whenwe have a game like PR inpliment it, it just doesn't work since this game is about just winning as a whole.
