I've been Sniping in PR for a while now and I never got the correct answer on how to do it, my routine is wait 7 seconds then shoot, and then wait 2 seconds in between each shot, is this correct? Also, at what range does the bullet drop at?
Sorry, please don't yell at me i just read the guild and it didn't mention any of this.

the correct time is 8 sec. wait 8 sec between shots, after moving your body (AWSD) and after a quick turn of sight (mouse).
I've read that the scope's zeroed at 600 meters, but the drop isn't actually a big problem...

Yep, the bullets start to drop at 600m. Though I have to disagree about the drop not being a problem. You'll be way more effective if you learn to compensate for bullet drop at ranges like 800m.
It can be hard to score a kill due to one shot not killing at this range, but it's great for spreading confusion and you'll be way more safe. Though you (and your spotter) might not see that much (making you not-so-great recon) being that far away.

Well, you are not shooting correctly unless you wait for the sound clip to finish. If you want a fully accurate shot that is... and with a sniper rifle you do. And that is 8 seconds.

hmm, so the sound symbolizes the progress of stabilizing ones breath?

Every time you move around (body), even a little, you have to wait 9 seconds to get 100% accuracy on all ranges. Depending on the range, sometimes you only have to wait 2-3 seconds.
Just imagine the sniper like those deviation indicators on the HAT (Sniper works the same way except those indicators are invisible). It takes time for them to get smaller, so the more time you wait, the more accurate it gets.
Also, every time you turn your head, just like the HAT, you lose accuracy. But just as long as you don't move your whole body, your crossair should be 100% in 2-3 seconds even if you do a 360 turn with your head as fast as possible.
Don't even use the breathing sound, just count 9 seconds in your head. One one thousand...two one thousand. Or even just open your map and look at mission timer for 9 seconds.
Hope that helps.

The sound is there to say when the clock goes over 8 seconds. Not like in CoD4 where you actually gets a more steady aim

Yea it does, that is how you lead your targets. But its very hard to follow targets at a long range. Usually just shoot in front of them.
The sniper or ANY OTHER WEAPON in PR is EXACTLY like how the Hat works, without the visible indicators.
