Hi guyz, i known that the plane had already been suggested, but i'm here to suggest something that we can do whit it ok?.

As we all known, US Marines will use the F35 and are currently using AV8B Harrier, so since the fact is set in a "near future" and the fact the USMC would start to use it anyway, why R-Dev dont add it on USMC based map, let me continu, U.S.Army would had the USAF support (F16/A10) and the Marines would had the Marines Air support. So lets take a map like "Wake Island" Wich is a Carrier whit a big island to conquer, kinda like Barracuda but bigger, the F35 would assume the Role of Air Deterent like the Mig and the F16, and the AV8B would assume the CAS role like A10 and Frogfoot, along whit couple of Huey and couple of APC that would represent all the marines sea-based capabilities.

There is a picture of the USS ESSEX, We can see Cobra, SeaKnight (Huey in game), Harrier and vehicle that can be replace by LAV25... so, i think its pretty "realist" =D
Image

That would also give a new "gameplay" for Marines and VTOL plane would had they're place now, and whit the change apply on Jet, the Deck is way to short to take off normaly or even think to land whitout dieing in the process.

Comments ?

Since those aircraft are VTOL, the carrier will work fine since it won't require a rediculously long runway.

sounds fun.

theres already a harrier in the works, its on the kashan training map.

im not sure how the devs feel about the f-35 being put back in because as far as i know its not being used yet, {i could be wrong} i made a suggestion about it a long time ago, and i dont remember what they said.

but what i am curious about is why the devs havent put the f-18 back in, i mean the marines use it. i wouldnt suggest using it from the essex, its not a big enough carrier for conventional take off aircraft, but it could be launched from land bases.

It will be used though, by 2010 or whatever, the F35 will be plentiful in the USMC. I hope it gets added into PR, we just need a map that will suit this.

Agreed, we need more realistic carrier-borne operations. Please just remove the LB, USMC has had no history with that mistake of a helicopter. I would settle for a complement of hueys and harriers.....maybe a 46 or too    jk. But in all seriousness, i agree with this idea.

WOW, ya they should really have harriers on that, it would be nice for them to be more maunaverable (sorry if i spelled wrong) like u should have a switch that goes from flying to slowing down and then hovering. That would be awesome!

If the DoD, especially the USMC, rolled anything out on time, it wouldn't be the DoD.

Hotrod, what exactly new are you suggesting? Of course if the aircraft were put in it could be used on the Essex.

Thread locked for resuggestion.
