With the introduction of the Russian forces, and considering that the MEC's vehicle arsenal is all pretty much Russian made, will the Russian made assets be going over to the Russian faction? I mean, it seems wierd that MEC would be using the T90, when the Russian's would be using the T80. I would think they would use the latest equipment. (I know the MEC is getting a new tank, this is just an example). Basically, shouldn't the Russians use the MEC assets, and the MEC use some other stuff?

MEC will get the T72 from USi to replace the T90 in 0.85 if I recall.

I think the DEV's plan is to eventually phase out the most unlikely Russian MEC equipment or something like that.

Why would a country with so much oil money not have money to buy the latest equipment? Talilking about mec.

Russia and the MEC will not be fighting, so this is hardly an issue.

Zimmer, I understand that the MEC could afford these vehicles... but it would only make sense that Russians would get them too.

I bought SF because it had the Spetnaz, i was like WTF? when i saw the same MEC Kits...

I think the devs are giving some of the more "out there" Russian equipment to the Russians. But so far, it appears that Russia is a major arms supplier to the MEC. MEC uses Russian vehicles like the T-72 (not ingame yet), BTR-90, BMP-3, Mig-29, Mi-28, Vodnik, and Tunguska. Most likely, the MEC is allied with Russia as they are with China.

But PR at least needs to clearly define who is fighting who. If you don't then theoretically it is possible for US to fight Germany or UK to fight Israel.

No, don't forget that with the Vodnik there's the BRDM, the T-72, the Frogfoot, the Mig, the BMP-3, the Mi-28, the Mi-8 and some more are all Russian design.

Which country is MEC ?

T-90 is on par with T-80. One is nor really "older" then the other.
In fact the T-80 was the more advanced version since it's developed from the
T-64 and T-90 from T-72.Also made on different factories/cities.

Because only some exclusive unit in Russia has them, and only a few at that, the logical conclusion is that they'd never be sold off to the MEC in numbers large enough for a whole army.

Because there are probably all of half a dozen in the world and all of them in Russia, with no major orders from anyone.

And the MEC will be getting the BMP-3 wagon of doom with all 8 of its weapon variations (3 7.62mm machine guns, a 100mm gun firing HE-FRAG rounds and AT-10 "Stabber" ATGMs, and a 30mm autocannon with both Sabot and HEAT rounds). Its not quite eleven barrels of hell, but its damn close.

And as well as that its actually in service in the Middle East!

Middle Eastern Coalition - As in lots of countries.

Meaning it could be any country in the middle east, fictional or not, thats appropriate for the game

Then they should get the best equipment,not BRDM2 and T-72 that were
made 1/2 century ago

I just found out today that half of Africa and parts of Caucasus mountains are
technically in the Middle East -learning something new every day or like
