Mounted Marksman rifles and sniper rifles

Hi...
why in some marksman rifles are equiped with bipods (like MEC's one) but we can use it as we do with the support weapons ?
I mean, if the DEVs make a option for use the Marksman rifles like the Support weapons...
eg: G3/SG1 with a mounted option with you can only use when proned, and the recoil will be like the HK21E when mounted.
I think than this can be aplicable to the sniper rifles also

Actually this is an interesting idea for both, they have the empty slots for that and I think it's rather realistic that when you're in a *deployed* position, you're more accurate and deadly than when undeployed.
Good idea!

It'd be interesting of the deployed sniper took noticeably less time to recharge deviation but more time to set up than the autoriflemen. Otherwise what's the point.

Not a bad idea, cant really see the point for sniper rifles as they're all bolt action, whereas the marksmen rifles are semi-auto and could therefore be fired repeatedly with minimal recoil whilst deployed.

shorter deviation waiting time

The sniper rifles need a longer draw animation but need to be much more accurate after waiting 3 seconds scoped in.
The DMR should be more accurate than a rifle while prone (IIRC crouching present problems with standing).

i recon it would be a verry good idea and its realistic imagine when yous try to add high powerd snipers rifles now those you cant should acurratly while standing and crouching

This idea is a resuggestion, but its a good one.

Yea great idea! Use it for faster deviation recharge. Because accuracy of undeployed is good already. And we dont want these things to be point and click kill weapons. There has to be some skill involved.
Jigsaw: The point for bolt action ones is when you aim you dont have to waste energy for holding up your weapon. The only effort you need is manouvring the sights on target because the front is on the bipod. Ofcourse you cant fire fast and need to sight in everytime but the aiming proces is easier.

Aye, the DEVs seemed pretty interested in it though at the time, with any luck it should appear in .85 along with all the fixes both sharpshooters desperately need.

Coding wise it is pretty easy. It literally took me 5 minutes to do the LMG's. The animations, now that is where the work is involved.

Sweet! Then it is obviously possible to do...
Great idea to start with
1. Add deployable state for SNIPER/MARKSMEN
2. Make them realistic to aim with! please, its been like a shotgun on long range for way too long now (even if u w8 the breathing it still aint pinpoint!!!)! Make the deployable time longer instead, but make them good and rather fast at shooting people long range, thats what the sniper/marksman rifles are built for! Snipers are in real combat a huge threat. Let it be so! They will still have time for recon.
3. For undeployable state, add a view to the sniper and/or marksman wpns more like an ironsight style of view for "right click" were you look above the scope, so you can use it in CQC in case you need to. Instead, remove the "zoom in/scope view" for at least the sniper when in normal weapon "mode"(only apply it to the deployable state). This will make the snipers to have to position themselves and not run into close fights.

It should take Chuc less then 5 minutes to do them all though right? We all know what he's like so don't give us any excuses!

lol, took a quick animation tut... yeah, not exactly a 5 min job, unless you want your character looking like an epileptic robot.
