For what you need a Chinook?
If its for transport you got the Merlin that is perfect for this use, the Chinook is big and heavy and its main purpose is heavy duty transport of howitzers and light truck etc...
You wont gona need it.

for engagement on the scale at which the BF2 maps are on, i'd say they are not needed. Bringing them into the kind of high risk zone with planes going around and hostile troops only less than a km away is a good way to invite the enemy to shoot them down.

What vehicles can fit Inside the Chinook? A small FAV?

that be sweet transpoting small vehicles into a city for invation or something. if you are british invading a city carry this in and can hit the ground and just start torking through to the flag.

right. I played some Joint Ops the other day, and it rocks, purely because of the vehicle physics. you can put a DPV into a Chinook, get out, walk on the chinook and fly it. You can walk around in chinooks while in flight, and although there are only 8 seats (6 passengers), you can still fit a huge amount of people in due to the fact you can stand in vehicles.

LCACs actually work in this too, which is awesome.

Unfortunately, this isn't possible in BF2. The collisions suck.
So, no putting jeeps in the chinooks, although you could in theory, add a weapon, "drop jeep", like a bomb...

it could work...

Yep, but it should be limited to one jeep at the time. Or someone could just, Drop a Jeep, rearm, drop a jeep, rearm, drop... Jeep spamming. Could be fun.

Yep.

And could be used as an impromptu weapon. Dropping DPVs on people's heads would be fun - like a supply drop, but bigger!

Should get points for it too, maybe badge or a ribbon.

I'm not sure about modern Brit forces, but doesnt the US use the Sea Knight (whatever its called) nowadays?

The CH-47 Chinook is used more than the CH-46 Sea Knight in the U.S. military

The Chenowth LSV and Land Rover 110 WMIK "Wolf" / Ranger Special Operations Vehicle can be internally transported by the Chinook, as can Zodiac combat rubber reconnaissance craft.

The Royal Air Force operates the second largest fleet of Chinook helicopters in the world after the US Army.

Cerberus is correct; there are fewer H-46 Sea Knights in US inventory than H-47 Chinooks. The Marines use the CH-46E Sea Knight in most of their medium-lift helicopter squadrons, but will be phasing them out for the MV-22 Osprey, because they long ago started to become deathtraps due to the age of the airframes. Horror stories abound of them. The Navy has already phased theirs out.

The Chinook will likely be in PR for both US Army and the RAF. :)

You can fit a quad into a merlin. So will there be scrambler bikes or so,mething for british forces that coud be transported. I know that speedin round on a motorbike runnin ppl down aint realistic, but its funny eh
