Limited Kits

Hey PR SP Community,

Sometimes when im under heavy fire i need a Rifleman's AT kit and when I request it after building an forward outpost Im told that all those kits have been issued and sometimes it tells me the kit is unavailable, can someone tell me how to allow more kits to be available on request.

Im really loving this version of PRSP and im looking forward to .85 and having ruski's to run around with.

quai river is one in particular


It only happens to kits that are already being used by a member of my squad.

Ie my bots in my squad have

grenadier
Spec op
Rifleman AT

and yet if I pick something that isnt in the squad like a sniper its fine and lets me have it.

Never had this happen before. In SP, I can always get whatever kind of kit I want whenever I want. I know because I've done crazy rambo moves and kit wasting that would result in no kits available for anyone in MP (spawn, spam rockets/SAW, get mowed down charging Normandy style).

I've had this problem a few times in relation to requesting LAT instead of spawning with it.

Is it possible to set a limit for bots kits and then have a human limit?

likely...just have to edit the total number of requestable LAT kits that a squad can have, i believe.

In your mods/pr_sp_08/game folder, locate
realityconfig_local.con and realityconfig_private.con
BACK THEM BOTH UP BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE

Look for this part in each, its towards the bottom:

In realityconfig_local and realityconfig_private

These are what you might wanna look into tweaking for good measures

All the numbers in the bold section, bump to 3 maybe. note: Only change the numbers listed after kit names. For example, don't change the 8 for KIT_LIMIT_8 etc.

Maybe bump the italicized up a bit, just plus one or something in case a squaddie is using the kit

In the underlined section, maybe drop those numbers a bit to your liking. They're in seconds and will allow you to get a kit quicker after it gets requested before.

Note, these changes will change PRSP from default, so keep that in mind and only make the changes YOU want made. You can make it super easy to get a kit[what I do for brainless killing in a quick match] or you can just make a few changes to make it a bit easier to get a kit now and then :)

For example, find:
DISTANCE_PICKUP =
And give it a number like 5000. This will let you request a kit from pretty much anywhere provided you have a rallypoint or firebase.
There's a lot of little tweaking you can do since SP is offline ;)

There's a thread on it somewhere, but I'm droning on and on and it's 2:50AM!... hope you get your L-AT kit!

^^ yea that's the python file(s) i meant. you can change everything to your likings in there and we might alter a few things for the next SP release as well to make sure the human player won't have any hassle requesting kits.

Nothing but a few final tests for this semester left, two weeks before I leave my computer behind and study in a buddhist temple for a month, and busy real-life-friends makes Okita want to use the internet as much as possible. :-o

I have PRSP but its on all low/off settings, 800x600 res, and 50% view distance, running at like 15FPS. :\

The editor is a slideshow BUT I somehow got it to create the terrain for a 4km map. lol. Editing that map is another story entirely... something I dont think I am ready for[would go insane Im sure]

I like to think of myself as a good troll. Trolling for random **** I just might be able to help out with ;)

Hope those settings are understandable and that they get yo the kits you need when/where you need them ;)

I set mine so I can easily get kits on rooftops after spawning in with specops ;)

the last game i had that ran that bad was rainbow six vegas, idk what is up with ubisoft and tom clancy making games that are impossible to run. the game came out in 2006 and it was asking for a 3.5 pentium 4 processor.
