Bridges

I have done a search on the forums and the PR manual and have found nothing about this. Is there any way to repair a bridge. I have played two maps in the last few days were a bridge was taken out they changed the game dramatically. Our team both times tried everything to get the bridge back up with no success. We tried Repair crates, normal crates, both crates together, and the wrench has no effect on the bridge. Nothing repairs the bridge. Is it just permanently destroyed now?

Edit: Same situation on the new Russian map

I thought that the repair crate thingie (also on the screenshot) repairs them?

Unless it takes a really long time. I tried 4 life cycles of the repair crates. Which I believe is 5 minutes each. So 20 minutes and no repair. I also tried the shovel, just for the heck of it.

I Think you are meant to use the spade.

By spade do you mean a shovel? If so I have tried the shovel and it would not allow me to dig in the area at all.

It took pretty much a lifetime for 1 guy to repair a bridge with a wrench in 0.8, but I don't know about .85

Maybe only the small bridges are supposed to be repairable.

Though I remember Rhino saying the repair crate stuff should work on the large bridges... Maybe a bug.

What's the difference between a spade and a shovel? -_^

We'll may be its good because it usually takes a lot of time and materials to fix a bridge =P

I just wanted to make sure that there was not a spade tool, that was different then the shovel. I never heard on a shovel being called a spade, other then a little garden tool. But, is there any one with a definite answer on this?

Ok, I think the spade and shovel debate is settled!

Ok, back to the bridges. Is it bugged? Is that the official ruling on it?

Rhino said it was bugged, it appears to be an oversight, i.e. they forgot to make it so bridges get repaired by crates.

Ok.

So, the question is, can this be a server-side patch or is it a whole new release?
