ok, I'm only going to say this once. The US forces are switching ot the Gerber LMF II. It is designed with many features but the best IMO are the following

1. Pummel hardened and pointed for breaking plexi glass (blunt force weapon)
2. Made to cut through sheet metal (Extreamly durable blade)
3. Holes in the Pummel allowing it to be lashed to a stick and used as a spear.

For your convenience..

In PR pilots do, they should though. Every pilot in the USAF has a knife to cut himself lose and life saving. But as crazy said there no longer in PR.

I love every single aspect about .856 except the removal of the knife and the pistol from the pilot kit. Yeah, I hated para-drops onto caches/flags, but removing every weapon from them was a bit extreme. A sidearm with 0+1 clips (just the clip in the pistol) and a knife would be good. It just bugs me that there is absolutely nothing. Even just standing around or running to your helicopter without something in your hands bugs me. I don't want to have my smoke or field dressing out because I am afraid I will use them accidentally.

At LEAST give the unarmed mode a "firing animation" of you giving the bird, or shaking your fist ("I'm going to get youuuuuuu"). The tiny little half animation now with the tiny head-nod is just enough to annoy the shit out of me.

This resembles the vanilla knife so much that a new model would be a waste of time.
But yeah, give the pilot his knife back.

a) Don't give the pilot a weapon ever again, it just encourages idiocy.
b) Don't give the US Army a new knife, as it would require me to change my kit geometry. :(
