I am having crashing problems

Seeing as there is an immense torrent of threads related to CTD and other problems with 0.85, what are your plans -- if any -- to adress the problem? I have been around since 0.4 and have never seen such a massive amount of problems in any previous release, so I think this warrants some attention.

it might be that persons problem if their computer is crashing, not the devs,it could be they didn't install right or messed up some settings...i crash but its rare, maybe it could be the graphics though, im pretty sure people playing on super cool computers don't crash, and people on the lower end do

Some of the crashes are not even pr related.

Having been around since 0.5, I can agree 0.85 has some problems with CTD. However, there are many things the client side can do to address the problem. Between the 1024x768 fix, medium textures fix, increasing virtual memory fix, patched BF2.exe fix etc. there are some quick ways to fix the CTD issue.
As the DEVs have said countless times, each release will push the engine farther and farther, thus the system requirements increase as well. I always suggest at
least 2 GB of quality RAM if not 4 GB.

The C++ fix worked for me which addresses the "memory.dll" error. <-- the cause of many CTDs.

that's just it though. Normally in a PR release I'd see a few of those threads quickly shot down by solutions such as those. With this one, I've seen a huge wave of those threads and I've yet to see one of them solved. And lack of computer performance has little to do with it, as most of the threads I've seen originate from owners of fairly high-end rigs. The purpose of this post was to explain that there is some sort of severe problem with 0.85 unlike in previous versions and I'm just asking if the devs have noticed it and/or are planning to even look into it. In short: I'd just like to know what the situation is.
