Battlefield HitFixer Demonstration on Vimeo

Server admins can kick (for one round) for using this. But PB allowed it. so are theres servers out, who kick for this?

And : does it help? whats your experience?

afaik if you are using autohotkey, you'll get kicked for disallowed program/driver.

Its not really needed anymore unless you are playing on a foreign server. Even then, .85 deviation generally means you'll kill what you are shooting at.

You won't get kicked if you use the .exe itself.

Okay so I'm a little confused. Using this would be cheating correct?

not technically, e.g. the PR team have said previously that a PR version of hitfixer may be released with the mod eventually.

The hitfixer is not a cheat, in my eyes. It lets you shoot at the enemy, which I can imagine is how the Dice developers wanted you to play the game.

so does it work with PR currently?

Honestly unless this is something that is packaged with all PR/BF2 downloads I would consider this a cheat because it gives an advantage to the user.

If it was pushed and used by the whole community I would definately be in support of it.

I use it all the time, and have never been kicked for it. It's not a cheat in the least.

Hitfixer is the sort of thing that works if you believe it works, you know.

Hitfixer should be part of BF2 1.50, no ifs ands or buts.

The hit fixer is just any easy and quick way to take care of the interpolation rates- Unlike in the Source engine where all the Different Interpolation rates are governed by the same console command, Bf2 has them separate- so instead of remembering the console commands and the mathematics to enter the correct values for your ping separately the Hit fixer Does the math and enters the commands for you- Its nothing more then a ti-81 program (in terms of complexity

The reason these rates need to be changed is they are set for a default value if your ping was 150ms (if I recall correctly) so playing on lower pining servers It greatly aids you in that you are getting information from the server more efficiently then at the default values- meaning hits register correctly.

All I see in those videos is someone not leading the target.

Agreed. Now Its not a very big distance but you at least need to lead the target by a little bit right?

The way I see it, it doesn't inherently increase or decrease hit probabilities and precision, it just shifts where you have to aim to actually score hits. I'm definitely in support of it becoming a homogeneous component of PR in a later release, and I don't really oppose it's use in PR on a player by player basis. It doesn't give an advantage to one of two otherwise equally-skilled players.

In my mind anything that changes the game at all should not be allowed and would be a banable offense. From the video it changes the bullets path to hit the target a very little. If your playing with this in 0.85 then you should really learn to aim, you can basicly shoot and hit something thats in your sights.

What I think people forget that the DEV's spend ages working on getting deviation right. Then people complain that they can't hit targets and a lot of the time it works out being the connection settings.

I normally play on servers that give me a below 30 ping. that's a massive difference from the default settings. so the compensation is massive. With hit fixer setting changed shooting becomes better. In the same respect people will hit me more often, getting the connection settings right helps everyone.

If you played CSS and you set your connection to play at a ping of 250 you would be accused of cheating throttling your making it more difficult for people to hit you. The DEV's have said they are working on implementing a hitfixer for PR, but they have a lot of work.

Now days i don't think anyone plays on a 56k connection even if they do it shouldn't hold back the rest of the gaming community.
