BattleDirector no longer works in PR v0.85

I did a search for this topic but only found one from a year ago, I also searched the Sir.Community forums first and others have posted the same thing, PR v.85 won't allow BattleDirector to replay demos.

I tried uninstalling BD v1.7 and reinstall, no change. I used this same version of BD for our entire last campaign recording weekly videos on PR v.8, but the new version will not run.
Something about the .exe file was mentioned but I could'nt find a second .exe for PR or any other comments on why this issue has come up.
Any work arounds or help that you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated as this will cause me trouble getting the weekly videos done, it already takes a load of time & if I have to do this ingame, the videos will be way to large and take up tremendous amounts of HD space.

I've found another software that does kinda the same thing,
Team Gaffa Machinima Tool still working on getting the HUD & TAGs turned off, but you can run it in windowed mode & resize using BF2 Flags (command line code)
To turn on sound change 1 to 0
To change the window size add this line
+szx 640 +szy 400 you can change the numbers to what ever size you want the window to be.
Once I get word on how to turn off the HUD & Tags, I'll update here.
Still no word from the PR guys on why this happens or how to get around it, waiting your suggestions guys.

Ok, I've had to relearn some stuff, but I think I have it. I never used the render portion of BattleDirector, I always ran it in FreeCam and just used screen capture software to get the video, mainly because you get the video & audio at one time & it encodes to .avi, ready to use.
But this new software wont run freecam without tags, I can get ride of the HUD simply by putting in the command line in the ingame console (renderer.drawHUD 0 will turn it off, change it to 1 to turn back on) which you have to do on the render as well.
But here is how you get a clean, no tag, no HUD, w/sound video to capture, after you have loaded the demo's in the proper folder (same as BattleDirector) simply run a New Camera Path file, do all your camera motions and click the ingame Quit. This will save your camera motion file, which you can click the Play button, once it's past the load screen and ingame, hit the 1 key to freeze the action, bring down the console and put in the command to turn off the HUD and then record as normal with screen capture software.
If you guys do your videos differently, you will have to figure it out for your self, I hope some of what I posted is helpful.

http://machinima.teamgaffa.dk/software) has updated his version to 1.1 after i posted this issue with 0.85 on battledirector forums. Because of me, (hehe), we now have a working version. give it a try.
The name tags and hud are now properly removed.

Due to the changes in PR 0.856. BattleDirector will not work at this time.
PR used to use a file called "PR.exe" to run. This has now changed back to the normal "BF2.exe". BattleDirector will need to be remade to account for that change. This is not in the pipe line as far as I know. But you could always ask/bribe/pay/pray the
"Code Moose" for an update.

NOTE: Punkbuster now kicks me from servers due to the gamelogicinit.con be edited. Unfortunately Team Gaffa Machinima Tool has no "Repair Game Logic.int" button as Battle Director has. And opening up BD and clicking that button did nothing. Team Gaffa Machinima Tool needs this feature or anyone using the tool will not be able to play online without having to reinstall the mod.
All this because they changed that one item, that's weird. Anyway, my movie making is now on hold until this gets sorted out. I don't expect the PR Dev's to make a patch just for the movie making community, so hopefully this will be something that is fixed in the next release, don't forget Dev's!

ive downloaded battrecorder since 0.85 but as said b4 if it is 0.80 file its a no go

Geemark, from the Team Gaffa Machinima team has responded to our cries for help. Their software now has custom profiles to turn off Player Tags & HUD for better pre-render filming. He responded within a few days of our posts on the
Sir.Community forum.
Our Thanks to his quick response and updates to their software to help us out.

This is not a [R-Dev] Issue to deal with. This is the makers of said tools to fix. If you wish for the tools to support PR. Then you will have to ask the makers of the tools. Not the [R-Dev]'s. It's not there job.
