Hey!


I've tried to install the SP (bots) mod for BF2, I follow all the directions but when i try to make a single player match the options of adding bots aren't there.

I install everything in the: Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\Mods folder and everything looks to be alright.

I have installed everything:

MP Core, MP Levels,
SP Core, Map pack 1 & 2 and the map pack 1 patch.

I am wondering if the problem is that I am not supposed to install the MP Core and levels too be able to play against bots?

Any help is appreciated

Hi mate, if you have installed PR Multiplayer 0.85 , then you will not be able to play Single Player, unless you re-download PR Multiplayer 0.8, we are working hard and currently testing builds to get SP 0.85 out, and our release date is the 27th of February. So if you can wait till then, we will have 0.85 out for SP.

Edit: Ok thanks for the help , I'll go look for the 0.8 MP files.

Erik - easiest way is to rename the pr folder to pr0.85, then install pr 0.809 (MP) and stuff, name that to pr08, edit the prsp shortcut (PRSP08 Shortcut:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr08\pr.exe" +modPath mods/prsp08 +menu 1 +fullscreen 1)

Edit pr_sp08 clientarchives.con to:

Fix for atom_sp map (prsp08 mappack2):
In Info folder of map is a Server.zip, that has to go into the map folder The folder named "Server" has to be deleted

so: Info folder, client.zip, server.zip are in map folder then only

The last step is to rename pr085 back to pr to be able to play MP...

First of all I am new to Project Reality, Great Job to the people who did this mod, AWSOME.

I don't know if this is helpfull, but I was playing .08 sp for a bit and have just upgraded to
.085. I uninstalled levels and core first before reinstalling new stuff.

Then I reinstalled .08 sp, I got the same "pr.exe error" as I've been reading other people have so I messed with the shortcut a little. I ended up using this as my shortcut..

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/pr_sp_08 +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

This is the order i installed

.085 Core, .085 Levels, .08 spCore, .08 sp map pack1, .08 sp map pack 1 patch, .08 map pack 2.

Then changed my target path in the shortcut to the one above, and whaolla, Been playing "sunset city" single player all night.

sorry, i have a typo, that last thing i installed was ".08 sp map pack two."
not ".08 map pack 2"

might give that a go! cheers,

noticed you said you were playing sunset city- this is the onnly map that doesnt crash out on loading out of all the ones i tried. You getting the same?

I usually used to play sunset on .08, so i didn't try any other maps single player until today,
and its the only one that works for me too, lol, lucky me... the only one that works is my favorite one.

ah right! yeah sunset city is a fun map. im hanging for the release of the next SP now, too lazy to reinstall 0.8!
