Throughout the heartbreak of battledirector not working with PRs new release, i was told by the battledirector guys that PR is using the old BF2 exe again and that BD will be updated shortly to make PR work on BD again, all the while TeamGaffa has a current updated version up and running for the demo files right now.

Question is, PR was using the PR exe because of a few things but mainly due to the added shaders that PR was running for suppression effects, so did they figure out an alternative way to run PR with them on by using the BF2 exe now?

Or am i being deceived?

aha explains alot, and must be easier on the players.

Now to wait on BD for the corrections.....

This must be why the splashscreen failed.

Although it did stop a lot of problems for people who had Vista and had the 'Wrong .exe, ALT+F4 and start again'

may i ask you to explain for the more advanced reades how you actually managed to use the shaders without this oldndirty way?

sorry if this sounds a tad noobish...but I got a PR.exe when i installed 0.85, which i still double click to run PR...so whats all this talk of not using the PR.exe?? How do you run it from the BF2.exe without it just running BF2?? im confuzzled.

U can run it using either or, so make it easier on urself and just use the PR exe for PR, and BF2exe for BF2.

simple exe!=shortcut usualy you start a bf2 with a shortcut to the bf2.exe giving the modpath as a parameter
