Some days ago, i found a wreck model of the Saxon on Al Bashra, so this Vehicle came back in my mind. ( I even couldnt remember the name, and it took 20min of googling ).

Oh. My. God. I noticed it too on Ghost Train also, but I never knew they had a WIP on it. That's a cool pic. I think the land rover just totally eclipsed its purpose despite having only 3 seats.

The Saxon GWR is slowly being withdrawn from service due to it being ****. The Patrol variant still rolls on but mainly as an ambulance.

So it was removed, cause they did it in RL? hmm Maybe you still can use it, to replace some jeeps. But ok, good to know.
@ Hresvelgr it was Ingame, i think on albashra, but i am not sure about that.

Never did like that thing. It was like driving with the emergency brake on all the time.

They actually had it in game too? I always thought it was just a static judging by the fact that I always saw wrecks of it only. Must've gotten the game after .4 after all.

remember driving this brute on mestia back in the .6 beta i believe it was. ages ago anyway, was seen a lot in the .5 release with the british (obviously since they were being released back then)

NOOO That blows Perhaps PR can bring them back for one special map or something? since they arnt COMPLETLY GONE Mabey just use one on a BRITT Defence map or something

It was my favorite .5/.6 vehicle for the Brits. Slow, huge, AND IT HAD SMOKE LAUNCHERS!

Not quite right. FV432 came into service in the late sixties, Bulldog is the life extension programme but is due for replacement within the next few years when FRES comes in. Bulldog is not new, just the engine and transmission systems, most of the hulls are over 30 years old.

Saxon was originally bought for the RAF Regt but they seemed to make good battle taxi's, oh how wrong procurement can be, no mention of back handers there!!!

Oh, that one. It must have been put into PR after 0.5, and I'm pretty sure I still saw it around 0.6 or even 0.7. Though maybe I'm just confused.

I remember it was in .7 training! The gunner postion was absolute ****. You could only turn about 45 degrees it seemed.
