had 3 suggestion but i decided to separate them into their own threads so they could be discussed equally. https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f18-pr ... ystem.html - https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f18-pr ... -kits.html
2.
RPG damage to light wheeled vehicles.
explanation: i think when a RPG hits a HMMWV is should be disable but not destroyed....the 50cal still should work, no one should be injured but i really think the vehicle should be disabled.
solution: not sure on this, maybe weaken slightly the wheeled vehicles or raise the power slightly of the RPG.
compared to real life: with wheels shredded by shrapnel a heavy vehicle like a HMMWV cant move.
some might think this would cross the line between fun realism and to much realism, but everyone has an opinion
your thoughts.....

I recall an excellent idea just a few days before the release of .856 on the topic of how helicopters go down, I'm disappointed this didn't make it into the release, it seemed like it would take all but five minutes to implement.
Essentially, the idea was to increase the health of the helicopter to some number five to ten times what it is now, but also increase the "disabling" threshold proportionally (like if you added 3000 hitpoints to the max health, you add 3000 points to the "disabling" threshold"). The point of this was to allow the helicopter to have time to go down and crash instead of just blowing up instantly in the air.
The same exact idea could be implemented here. Increase the total damage and the disabling threshold, so one RPG hit will disable it but not destroy it. A second or third hit will utterly destroy it. The "damaged" state of it would simply be the equivalent of "tracking" it, where two wheels are disabled, but with the turret still enabled.

I don't think you realise how dangerous RPGs are in real combat - if one hits an APC which is armoured, it is still pretty much screwed. You want humvees to just have flat tires after a direct hit?
Edit - wait is this the way it is ingame now? RPGs used to set humvees on fire, if not complete destroy them first time. Is this no longer the case?

so by saying "you", i guess you mean the dev's as well right? because 1 rpg doesn't even slow a HMMWV down currently. and if they are trying to make the HMMWV an up armored one then its plausible to consider that with a direct hit the crew still might survive but there is no doubt that it would disable the vehicle and that is what the topic is about.
and yes i want HMMWV's to have (simulate) flat tires, disabled engine, anything really...it would be better than it is right now don't you agree. and apc's don't get screwed by rpg's in current real life combat. they all have the cages now.
edit to your edit: rgr, this is no longer the case....you should play it sometime...its frustraiting

AFAIK, RPGs were weakened to 1/2 of what they were at 0.8, with a complete overhaul of the AT System being planned. Dunno if that includes RPGs though...

Nah, Rudd had the same thought, that RPGs we're reduced by 50 %, but they've only been reduced to 70 % their original damage levels. Don't think any other LATs have been changed, though.
