The other day, I was playing Muttrah City, I was flying a Huey, transporting Infantry for about 20 minutes, I took off from what would be my last drop off, and lost all power at about 83% torque(I had my throttle at 100%). I was not shot down, because my chopper landed unharmed between two buildings, me and the guy who had flown with me got out of the chopper as there was an APC coming, so we couldn't try to take off again. The APC killed us. Anyone know what happened? Anyone else have this happen?

Some one shot you rotor. And you didn't die.

ohh nvm, do you have a joystick? you might have accidentally hit the throttle button...

I doubt it, because I was flying fine for 20 seconds after take off.

In all my whore hours of flying in PR I have never had this, unless after being heavily damaged.

im not sure, but a while back, me and my freand were screwing around learning the game, he was flying a bh and he waqs hovering near me.
i was shooting his roater, and he went down...

i fly ALOT, and this sounds like someone shooting out the engine or rotor. U slowly drop.

Nah, just had this happen today. I was up for a long time, and hadn't taken a single shot. It happened on TCC server playing Op Baracuda. I was hovering off the carrier waiting for orders, and I suddenly drop like a rock.

I use a Saitek Evo Force if that helps, and my throttle remained at ~25 %, until I started descending, in which case I pushed it up to 100 % almost instantaneously, and I saw the bar rise, put it didn't help.

Sad, my only death (the other intentional TK didn't count)

lol, it would be awesome if you could frap this, otherwise, i have no clue what it is.

-As far as I can remember there are two ways a chopper goes down without crashing after sustaining damage. One is a smooth but somewhat faster but very stable decline than when landing an undamaged chopper, and then there's a jittery decline where it looks a bit like you have very poor FPS. You might have had the first thing happen to you(There are several weapons you will not hear hitting you).

Its possible I MAY have sustained damage from small arms earlier, though it doesn't explain why it didn't affect me for the minute or so of loitering around the carrier, and that I hovered on spot next to it for about half a minute talking about what we were going to do before my engines suddenly stopped.

Sometimes it doesn't kick in for a while. Sort of like how tanks might get hit then drive 500-600m and suddenly become tracked or suddenly have the turret lose power or get tracked then have the turret lose power five minutes later despite not being hit.

if a choper gets hert so much it WILL go down this is not a bug this is a simple thing that pr mod does when a choper gets hert to much SIMPLES

You didn't read all the post did you?

It's never happened to me(without taking damage) but it sounds weird, Although it doesn't seem like it would happen I suppose it could. As solid said It could be extremely delayed damage.
