Supply Truck Insanity

Here's the scenario:
On a good game on a decent server, me and my voip squad decide to do some building while fighting. Since I'm the medic and we're pretty far back at the moment and not needed, SL assigns me with driving the truck back to the repair pad for extra crates, ready to move up and build another firebase at a latter point.
So I drive back, get crates, and travel with squad at walking pace till we come up against hostiles in a city. City gets cleared, park truck in alley, hop out, fix up buddies. Get into another ranged firefight with hostiles holed up in another extension of the city a small bridge and path aways. This fight lasts like 5 minutes at least.
I turn around to see some moron hop in the truck we brought along and parked, use it as his personal taxi, and he drives it across the bridge and into where hostiles are. Truck goes boom.
This is where I just drop my jaw.
Proposed solution:
We need some way to seriously limit the amount of people that can operate these things, like the way trucks were a version or two back. Maybe tie it with the crewman or engineer's kit I dunno, but anything to limit the amount of potential morons that do this type of thing. It's great that anyone can recover an abandoned truck, but it also sucks that any moron can move this valuable piece of asset. Please, for the good of everyone, lock the trucks to people that are in squads and have specific kits.
I'd say lock to rifleman specialist class, since this would eliminate many potential acts of retardation such as taxing, but still give the possibility of easy recovery of the supply truck were a player to disconnect or abandon the truck.
I'd be against locking to crewman or a non spawnable kit though, as speedy recovery of abandoned trucks is still something we need, due to the fact that its crates are rather important.
