The americans have two snipers...

a M40a3..

and another one with single zoom.


I was wondering why i could kill much more enemies with with M40a3, but when i got the second sniper... i couldn't even get a single kill.

Why are they so different? What was the M40a3 made to do, and what was the other one made to do?

I believe the marines have the M40A3, and the army have the M24 (which doesn't make sense because IRL it is just the opposite). At any rate, all the rifles have different limiting factors, they all shoot differently; the only way to get to know each one is practice and experience.

As a rule though the Sniper Kits are for spotting enemy movement to your team, calling in CAS with the GLTD, and lastly engaging high priority targets such as enemy specialty kits and officers.

maybe hes talking about the marksman, and the sniper rifle?

No, it isn't.

The M24 Sniper's Weapon System (SWS) represents a return to bolt action sniper rifles by the US Army.

In 1996 the USMC started on the design for the replacement of the M40A1, the result was the M40A3.

It may surprise you to hear that the Mod's military advisors actually have a clue as to what the hell they're talking about. Unlike you, it would seem.

No there are 2 different Sniperrifles in the game.
1.A few factions got single zoom Sniperrifles. Like MEC and US Army.

2.Other factions like China GB and USMC got Sniperrifles with 2 Zoomstages.

I dont know and dont understand why not everybody can get a proper Sniperrifle. Espacially the US Army Sniper seems out of place.

Another question would be, why the Antimaterial Rifles were taken out of the game. The Russian, MEC and the Chinese could get the Gepard and the US could get the Barret. The GB could get the 50.cal ArcticWarfare.

I think the kind of Sniperrifles from 1. should be removed and replaced with the ones from 2.
I also think that the second Sniperkit should be replaced by a Antimaterial Rifle Kit, who can choose between different types of Ammo.
In addition to that the Lasertargeter should be given to the Spotter, who should also get 2 or 3 epipens and a handfull of fielddressings.

By the way: WHERE IS THE GHILLIE SUIT

I was wondering.. Why does the M24 suck so badly? I can't even get ONE kill. I'm not a noob at sniping, I'm actually a decent sniper with any gun but the M24.

It's just frustrating why i cannot kill with it.

Is it because it's broken or something? Am i doing something wrong?

No its just you its not bugged, just practice with the m24 more and you will start killing people.

antimaterial sniper rifles used to be in PR in the form of hidden pick up kits on al basrah. unfortuneatly it ended up just being a huge rush to grab the gun and go 1337 lonewolf. trust me its a good thing they took it out, the last thing pr needs is another excuse for someone to join a squad just so they can grab a sniper rifle.

.50 Cal was in Bi-Ming up until .8. I am wondering that also, I can get kills with the M40A3 in 1 shot, but with the M24 I either have to hit in the very upper torso or the head to get the kills.

No the M40A3 is a heavily modified version of the M24 made for the US Marines, it is correct how it is.

fro what i have read, its bugged and wont render 5+ meters away

how the others said, its only training. The M24 works good. After a time of training, its a one shot one kill rifle (and then the medic comes... i want headshots back in!)

It is possibel to kill people with both rifles and they follow same or similar physics. Difference is the scope. You realice that there is bulletdrop? Did you take it into account?

Think i remember reading this argument somewhere before and the conclusion was they either were or weren't both based on the remington 700.

Well I dunno about any of you guys, I have no problem dropping people with the m24 or M40...

It could be just some poor hit registration.

AFAIK, a shot to the torso isn't 1 hit kill in the case of opponents wearing good body armour* unless you are using the British L115A1. However if the shot gets them in the upper thigh or in the torso when they are wearing the poor amour** then it should be a 1 hit kill. At long range, a centre of mass shot could result in a hit on the upper thighs and hence result in a 1 hit kill.

*In the case of the PLA, the MEC, the US Army, the USMC and the British

imo american sniper rifles in game are epic, i dont really know about anyotheres but i dont like the mec one.
