I've been playing Beta since early days and never posted playing the new version and it's excllent as playing I noticed that on the map you no long have the 'field of view' kind of pointer showing you and your squad where you're currently looking.
I thought you used to be able to in PR? is this a bug or has it been removed?

Other thing is I played commander last night for the first time ( we won btw! )
It was hard to find where the Command Post was so I would suggest maybe an icon on the map for new commanders?
I had to ask, gladly i was in a good server.

There is a icon iirc.

Right, without the arrows on the player markers, you know where you and your squad are on the map but must use your azimuth and eyes to tell where you are facing. Knowing where you are when you look at the map is enough help, getting lost by improperly reading a map happens, and now you too can experience it in-game.

which map were you playing? i think the icon isn't there on some maps (as with the chinese repair depot on barracuda btw)
