Prone workover

I see prone suggestions have been made about dolphin diving and instant prone but this is something different.

I just find it unrealistic how when you are on your belly, you can move the mouse quickly and turn 180 degrees almost instantly, dragging your assault rifle with you and being able to fire at enemies behind you (even if not very accurately).

I think the prone system should be improved to make it more realistic. I have two ideas for this but tell me other ideas is you have any.

1. Slow down the mouse sensitivity when prone. Probably the simplest way. I'm not sure if its hardcoded, it can be done with LMGs and sniper rifles so hopefully it can be done when prone, although I'm not sure.

2. Create an arc which the player can rotate in when prone. For example, you can only turn 35 degrees left and 35 degrees right when on the ground. It was Rainbow Six Raven Shield which gave me this idea and although it was a little annoying, it felt very realistic.
If possible it would be good to also have this arc increase when you press w, a, s or d so that you are able to turn around further slowly when 'Shuffling', which is what you would have to do in real life. I expect this is more likely to be hardcoded than the first idea.

Ideally, both of these ideas in conjunction with each other would be great and realistic.

PS. What about flipping over onto your back? like in MGS4? I bet that's impossible to add! But yeah let me know!

Good ideas, would definitely make going/being prone a better experience.

The first ones probably been thought of already, but I like the second one, if you wanna move your arc you gotta mess with your movement keys and settle into a new position, plus that means you have to let your deviation calm down a bit before firing rather then being able to smoothly aim toward what you wanna hit despite the amount of movement that would be involved to do so.

Don't get your hopes up about the last one though, can say that for sure :p not sure how useful it would be in a warfare game though...

I think if the second suggestion could have been implemented, it would have been, as it seems to be the best way to solve the issue (the first one does not necessarily work, due to different mouse and game settings).

However, maybe it was overlooked, I don't know.

I'm sure its not hardcoded, people get around it with Dpi buttons on their mouses.

But it would still be felt and would work.

Well when you deploy the LMG's the look-around speed decreases a bit. Might be do'able.

Nr 2 seems realistic and should be added (if possible).

I wonder if u could get movement speed to work like deviation in a way,

When u move the weapon the speed decreases the more u move

I doubt the 2nd idea could be implemented any other way, if at all.

Neither suggestions are possible with the BF2 engine.
