I always assumed Vista needed a certain amount of resources in use to function properly with the Editor, but never got far in my "research". This should help a lot of Vista map editors, thank you. :)

"Research" basically jotting random facts down in Notepad, and leaving them to collect dust on the hard drive. :p

For me (Even in compatibility mode), I just click on the mod (I've tried BF2 and PR), and it just crashes/shuts down. I don't know if these problems are linked in some way. Any suggestions?

Ya thanks for a wierd but cool fix. I will have to say vista really makes map building harder lol. I have had just random crashes and its ticking me off.

Vista is not gay. It is the bf2 editor being gay. I have used other and older game editing editors and they worked fine with vista.

This didnt work for me, although I opened a file in GIMP, not photoshop...

Having the same issue though with objects not updating as you drag them... frustrating the say the least...

Hah Ill have to look into that :)

Yeah, I figured it wouldnt work through GIMP, but figured Id give it a shot. If anything it just narrows it down more

Thanks for that find though, I wonder what the difference between things started by GIMP and things started by Photoshop is... if it was found, it might be a simple .exe[that starts up whatevers missing] to run after loading up the editor

Was wondering if Creepin' or someone could find out if its actually just a single file in the Photoshop install folder. Im having trouble getting hold of a demo of Photoshop...

If it was just like, one bat file or something that makes it work that would be awesome to say the least... this is the biggest thing keeping me from getting more work done on my new 4km map :(
