[Proposal] African (South of the Sahara) Insurgents

Playing Ramiel i was wondering why not a African Insurgents Faction. It can offer new terrain for map making for all over Africa, and making the fight more realistic. And you only got to replace the Skins (not the clothes) of the Iraq insurgents to the skin of the Afro American US soldier, the weapons can stay the same (for now).

MCI, if you propose a new faction, its asumed you are going to develop it, proposing factions blind without any input will usualy get burned down here.
I do think its a good idea but you need to work this out.

Subsaharian africans don't look like insurgents in the first place. To the contrary, it's those in North Africa, in the maghreb, that would look closer to insurgents or talis.
Second, Ramiel is representing a city in Somalia, a region far from Subsaharian africa, rather East and closer to the Middle-East. The population there would have clothes similar to those insurgents & talis wear but most have darker skin.
Would such a reskin be necessary? Good question, I doubt it would, unless you want to make it yourself. But by all means, if you do it yourself, your work would be appreciated.
There's is currently an african faction in the making : The DRC (Diplomatic Republic of Congo) that works for Congo Kinshasa and its surroundings (Burundi, Katanga, Rwanda, Uganda, Sudan). The DRC currently fights other African armed groups, the main one being the Lord's Resistance Army (Armée de Résistance du Seigneur), an armed group that attacks from Sudan to Congo-Kinshasa, killing civilians and stealing what they can find.
Also, the French Forces Faction is currently making maps located in Africa and is mainly planning to make most of its maps for the African theater (even tho FFA acts in other places around the world). I'm not so sure if they're making their own African ''generic'' opfor, however I know that they have a lot of interest in the development of the current DRC faction. As far as I know, however, the FFA isn't really concerned currently with the DRC because the DRC is related to Belgium more than France. France's theater is more about Maghreb and Western africa than eastern and southern africa.
Finally, In the case the DRC grows into a real opfor faction for PR, I would still support the making of a generic african militia, in order to represent other regions of Africa where the main interested faction (FFA) will operate.
That is, unless Brummy makes a decision to make the current DRC faction into a generic militia, but I doubt so, altho it would make things far easier.

There aren't any typical African insurgents (expect Somalian ones, but they are islamists, only fixing for them would be black skin) because they are all just tribes fighting against each other. It would be hard to make "average" faction.

And also, there is no African insurgency. Insurgents are loosely organized groups that fight against an occupying force like NATO in Iraq. African-insurgents is a biased term because there are no occupying forces currently in Africa.
Somalians are not insurgents either, they're armed militias fighting in a civil war.
There are no insurgency cases in Africa, only armed groups fighting each other/fighting governmental armies in extraterritorial wars and civil wars. Sometimes it's ethnic, sometimes it's a war for power, and sometimes it's both.

Writing this topic I was thinking about the Pirates in Somalia. But the main concept here is about fictional fights on the African Continent and battles. I mean for so far I know the US is not in war with China atm right? But it's ingame though... I leave this to the community for another time.

Hum, France is not very present in Maghreb...we only have economic relationships ..Most of the time, they buy trains, nuclear plants, but not military stuff...

We are also present in Darfour (Soudan) and in former French colonies like Djibouti where French army is trained before going to Afghanistan.
