Constructable scout towers.

Ok. So I have been thinking.
(yes, I know it's been discussed..... now read on)
We have foxholes..... And they are..... at best, exploits.

Honestly, I only see them used as exploits.


And if you don't know what I am talking about, try building one on a steep enough hill, crawl underneath it, and now become the invincible warrior that you are! You know have a invisible wall from your side, and they can't see you..... btw, you can shoot from your side ^_-


(brings to mind, the OBVIOUS bunker exploit in kozelsk..... tsk tsk map makers... tsk tsk... me and 1 other guy held off 3 attacking russian squads.... won the map...... using an exploit that was placed on purpose..... wtf over?)



I have a suggestion.


Let me present to you, Devil's scout towers!
I have attached a basic example, I leave it to you dev's to work out the specifics.


The height of it, is quite crucial, as it can be very easily too high, or too short.


Well, thats basically it.

Constructable scout towers..... yup. I think they are very much needed, in forest maps like fools road, and mestia.... Kozelsk on the other hand, in my opinion, is perfectly fine without them... But hey, who is to say they wouldn't be fantastic.

Welcome to the forums devilorchestra.
I am quite sure you thought well about your idea and are good willed, however there are many reasons why this would not be implemented in the first place.

Also, this has already been suggested.

Check the *** (Already Suggested Suggestion) thread or try searching by using the search tool before posting a suggestion.

And I am sure you have your reasons.



Having more emplaced towers on heavily forested maps, would achieve the same result I am looking for. Especially in mestia and fools road.

Mestia needs more diversity. I like the map less and less with each patch.


Kozelsk is perfect the way it is.


Fools road, well, for obvious reasons.


Constructable assets like foxholes, are lame.

And pointless.

And the fact that you can build so many of them, is just stupid.


limiting each firebase to having only 1 tower. Is balanced, and. The fact that it can be easily spotted, requires you to be smart, in how, and where, and when, you place them.


The discussion for this asset, may be closed in your minds. But I am actively lobbying for it.

So lock and destroy my thread, but you can't destroy my ideas.

You know how easy it will be to send a HAT or LAT on those towers they are bullet magnets no one will use them.

Besides its resuggested and shut down. Even if the idea isnt destroyed its scrapped to be a part of PR.

If it's already been suggested you shouldn't make a new thread on it, if you really wanna discuss it read through the older thread (if there's more then one obviously the one that didn't get locked) and add to that.

Indeed. Going to be nice and not give you an infraction, but suggesting something that you -know- has been suggested before is just silly.
