I did search it, but that didnt help much.
Im having a problem when I try to fly the merlin an the battle for quinling in deployment but when i fly it on the training servers I have no problem flying it there is no lagg at all, anyone know how to fix it?

its a known issure due to the door being able to open
it just hits some peaple and not others, no real fix

So i cant fly it till they fix it?
But how come it works on training server?

They've taken away the door...

Well, I know for me, it doesn't matter what helicopter I fly on BoQ, there's always plenty of lag. I'm not sure what makes the map so slow, but Rhino himself acknowledges it will most likely be replaced sometime soon.

Quinling, or the so called Merlin Lag?

I believe the Merlin lag's been fixed, with it's lack of door, though Quinling isn't going to be fixed, just forgotten/removed in newer and newer versions. Have you tried the Merlin on Al Basrah at all? See if you get any lag there.

Well that's what I thought before too. I tried the Merlin on training in Quinling. No lag. I played a regular game... lag. They did take out the door too, but still. I think there is still the lag issue.

Ive played al barash ond there is no merlin only the lynx helecoptor but i get no lag with that one.But your saying its the map not the heli?

ye even with the door being removed, some players still get the old lag. Considering re-exporting it to try and fix the issue.

that sucks cuz i really like to fly it, but how come i dont get the lag on the trainging servers?

less stuff is going on on a allready crouded map?

But.. but i love BoQ.... ^_^ it's so big and fun... (i like long range battles, even though i can't hit long range.. but i still love it!)

I can say I get the Merlin lag on every map and it is not hardware related, since I used to get it on my old pc and I have upgraded to a new gaming rig and still get the same Merlin lag on any map, sometimes I get the lag sometimes I don't but it lags more than it doesn't.

Ok what other maps have the merlin Ive only seen it on Battle for qunling, but people say its on other maps.

You can normally fix the lag by entering a helicopter with a wepon (apache) or apc gunner seat, not sure if it works anymore but it always worked for me. I actually never egt the lag now although I haven´t flown the merlin for ages.

About qinlings lag, I get none at all, except on some servers. TG for example when I went on qinling lagged terribly, but i have played it on other servers with the same or more people and it was fine.

I get merlin lag on QInling as well, even without the ramp now...

(Might as well while i'm here...) The rear tail rotor motion texture is wonky, may be a repeat bug report but meh, not a good picture but its something...

I saw someone land the merlin the other day and they put the ramp down some how but im not sure how. Maybe the ramp isnt gone yet
