Basically have them different colours, so the enemy doesn't automatically know what car has a suicide bomb in it. Having them the same colour as the multi-passenger cars would mean that those opposing the insurgents would have to be more careful. All the suicide cars I have seen so far have been red.

I suggested this awhile ago, but it was never implemented even know I think it should be. You should never know which cars are bomb cars so every time someone spots a car moving they won't know if they are going to get blown the f up or not.

Also it would stop allot of noobs from randomly spraying passing cars in fear of getting blown up.

Bomb cars only being red means that people pretty much ignore all other coloured cars, only really taking notice of the reds. If any colour car could potentially be a bomb, it would add a little more urgency to taking the little ******** out.

It is most certainly a resuggestion, but it's a simple change that should be resuggested time after time until it's implemented

Well if your the type of guy to be in my squad and we are creeping threw the city when a bomb car strolls by not going twords us and you open up on him causing him to blow I would sure kick you out of my squad seen it a thousand times.

I definately agree with this. I'm surprised that this wasn't implemented into PR earlier.

For them to be different colors would require separate folders/vehicles for each suicide car color. More folders and files. It would look like this:

bomb_car
bomb_car_blue
bomb_car_taxi

As CodeRedFox says in the below thread, it would increase the size of the mod. So it seemed a small thing back then. I'd like to add that the new varied outfits of the insurgents in .85 are real nice, with jeans and black shirts for the shotgun class.

It would be an approximate 29.27kb increase per car added.

Sounds like a good idea to me, so long as it's feasible. I know it's not a big issue, but it doesn't sound like too much work (famous last words, though, I suppose). Anyway, I think it would not only add another dimension to play but make things a little more interesting too. The less uniformity in the insurgents the better.

It is a very simple change, I'll have a dig through the files and see if I can attempt a re-texture myself, however I don't know if adding more colours would mean more object files or not.

EDIT: I found a few, and it kinda occurred to me that a new texture wouldn't entirely be needed, the only real change is the C4, but if the tex-maps have different layouts, then it may require some colour changing.

I agree, but no penalties for killing someone or killing the car, if there is a car driving in your direction, you blast it.

If it isn't feasible, then I think IED's should be allowed to be put on civilian cars again.
