Spawn raping/support guns

I'm loving PRMM but there are a couple of things that are annoying me and my clan mates:

* The spawn raping that happens in AAS (not much fun looking a the sky for minutes)

* The support weapons are far too accurate

I appreciate there's not much that can be done about the first problem but I really hope 0.3 'fixes' the support weapons.

in v0.3 the support class should be less effective.

but that accruacy is the same or very close to what it is in v0.25

there are fundamental changes that will affect the whole gameplay element of PRMM in .3. You will have to wait and see what these particular changes entail, but they will encourage more teamwork and working closer as a squad :)

Yeah, I noticed some pretty bad spawn camping/raping on y'all's server yesterday, especially on Oasis, involving a iCertain iPlayer and a humvee .50 :evil:

So in what way will it be less effective if the accuracy is the same?

Yeah it was noted. I've now removed heavy jeeps from Oasis. :-D I'll see how it plays with just the light jeeps but if it's still a problem i'll remove them as well.

I was so mad that i couldnt go to sleep after been raped by that iplayer.. :roll:

lol, one thing I hate about Oasis are all the vehicles driving round knocking players down :( Oasis is far better as an infantry only map.

Anyway, you don't have too long to wait regarding 0.3, so hang on to your pants :D

Yeah, it was basically a combination of being run-over and people camping .50's just outside the flag radius :-\

oasis is a **** map. I could make a better version within 24hrs. I really dont see why the public like this map atall...

It was in a hummer from what I saw. The light jeeps can be taken down real easy with the support weapons so weren't as much of a problem.

I'll see how it plays tonight and if it's still a problem i'll remove them. :-D

Maybe just because it's a change from the tired vanilla maps? I'm not a huge fan of it but have had some good battles on it. 8)

It's not so bad as long as folk don't red circle rape or run folk over all the time!

Out of interest, is there any way you could make it easier for admins to admin? The fact that you don't get a kill message on screen makes it hard for admins to kick tards and spawn rapers. I'm not sure how you could fix this without putting the kill messages back up though. Have you considered this at all?

Keep in mind this is a "Reality Mod", reducing the accuracy of the automatic rifle would take away from the realism aspect of the game.

I suggest making sure support can only fire from the prone position, and cannot fire while they are transitioning from standing/crouching to prone.

the remove of the kills message yes makes it hard to admin servers. But at the same time it makes alot better game player where every one has to check there targets after they have been shot.

Can usually tell by their score though.

I'd like to see that. Would make it much more of the support weapon it's supposed to be rather than an assault weapon which it's currently being used as.

Red Orchestra does it perfectly. 8)

I know what you're saying and tbh I agree but I personally I just check my score by pressing tab to make sure I got the guy! If everyone else does this then the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. I'm not saying you should change it but just wondering if someone has any idea of a way around the admining problem. I don't think you can just go by the points cause it could just be a noob red circle raping but not getting too many kills. At 50K we like to admin the servers properly and the admins have been saying that the PRMM server is a nightmare trying to figure out who is spawn/red circle raping.

Any ideas anyone?
