Death sounds

They need a revamp. If someone is shot in a critical organ with a sniper/assault rifle, they aren't going to be able to scream, yet in PR they still do. Your thoughts?

I see your point, and I think anything that makes the game more realalistic counts.

Me neither, just thought this is as close as someone could get to the dying sound.

But if you're shot in the head and die instantly, you won't say ANYTHING.

I saw an execution movie on liveleak there he just moaned and i also saw some other and there they moaned as well! So i guess no screaming more like ahhh!

I'm guessing someone that get's shot won't make as much noise as they currently do. They'll scream when feeling the pain, hurt yet alive, but if they die instantly I doubt they're gonna do much more than a quick moan.

I also feel like the ''Coughing'' sound is a bit awkward... I don't think somebody coughs THAT much when he gets hit, or at least when he's not hit in the lungs.

I'd like to hear a blood gurgling sound. That'd perfect.

If we keep coughing it ought to be more like say some guy gasping for breath or something as if he'd been shot in the lung or something.

Whatever it should be understated.

If its just a flesh wound the guy should just scren "Jesus F*(K!". lol ;)

I found this thread instead of making new one.

I suggest removing:

-Death scream
and most importantly those
-'Eeh, aaah, uh,' sound

when you are bleeding out. It contributes nothing to reality or 'gameplay reason' sake and only makes unnecessary noise that disturbs other persons around your computer.

actually this would make a great sound effect for say grenade kills or molatovs, actually would work in general. PR should implement a scream like this EVERY time you get shot and your person isn't wearing any body armour.

This was the closest thread I could find.

I would like to see the death/wouded sounds removed. When a player is killed or wouded he shouts out for a medic or cries out in pain. While it seems realistic and add to immersion, what ends up happening is people knowing what is going on, based solely on sound. Which hurts realism and immersion in my opinion.

For example, if your in a gunfight with an enemy and you throw a grenade and hear him call for medic, or go "ARRRRGHHH!!" you know he is dead.

The only way we should be able to verify an enemy is dead, is to walk up and getting eyes on his corpse. I would suggest removing the ability to tell dead players from live ones on the score board, if i didnt' think it was hardcoded. Both these things are used commonly by PR players to verify kills.
