Just some map ideas i was thinking about. Maybe somebody would think, that some of this sounds good. You can also edit some this or put more into it.


How about a night map ?

It could be somewhere in the iraqi desert. US vs Insurgents.



Insurgents or MEC troops have to set up anti aircraft positions all over the map (like caches) and defend them from the US troops.

The US aircraft wasnt able to take them out because of the bad weather.

A US special Team will have to take them out. They will have Support Trucks, Humvees and 2 Bradleys to complete the mission. It has to be a dark map, so they can operate with Night visions.

Another Idea

Somalia war ? US vs Somalis ?

That could be a great map, with lots of buildings.

The US troops have Humvees, Supply Truks, little bird Choppers and black hawk choppers.

It will be their mission to find the 2 shotdown blackhawks, and to recover some important Information, that was onboard.

The somalis will have mounted pickup trucks with MG´s on top

Another Idea:

British vs IRA

A town somewhere in Ireland, where british troops have to find their weapon hideouts. They will have trucks and jeeps for this mission.

Brazilian Police VS Drugdealers

It could be a map like Rio. Very narrow ways between the buildings and lots of hideouts.

The Police will have to find the drug factorys and the drugdealers will have to defend them.
The cops could have 2 choppers, pickups and police cars.

Convoy Extraction

There could be a long road with lots of houses at both sides.

US troops will have to move Trucks from one base into the other to fill up their tickets.
The trucks will be escorted from humvees and armored pickups(used by hired soldiers,special protective company)

The Insurgents will have to set up booby traps along the road to stop this convoy at all costs, shipping US weapons and supplies to go on with the war. It would be a great ambush

Sounds like Ramiel with a scenario mode.

truthfully, i dont thinkl any will happen unless you make the map yourself.... otherwise, it is a small chance of happining, but thats less then one%

all been suggested before, the US vs somalia is Rameil, night map been there done that, lighting is very difficult running off of the bf2 engine looks very crappy dont know about the other suggestions..

1. Already suggested and there used to be one.

2. Already ingame, Ramiel.

3. No.

4. Make the factions.

5. It was ingame, wait for Scenario Mode.

If you really want some maps learn to map yourself as the DEVs are already really busy.

Also your looking too much at the gameplay, extraction, convoy, IRA, drug dealers, etc are all not in-game currently, so making a map based on those ideas would be a waste. Focus more on the area, terrain, buildings, etc, etc. It'll get people to build your maps a lot sooner then just saying "bunch of buildings" or talking about game modes. New game modes can be applied to any map, they don't require custom ones.

Just curious, Do you mean that like 'it might return someday' or like 'it is returning'?
