what a hectic week for all of us!
im just finished with BT3, and i can tell you, its worth listening to!

We will be talking about BFCON06, and all whats happening there, but the news about 1.3 hits us like a bomb.

i went on investigation, asked around and finally found a few 'official' people to respond on the question.
Do note that the recording is taken in parts, just before i had the interview with [EA]Gamma, i presented the leakage information. this eventually ended up in a delay in Gamma's interview, but eventually i think we have come up with some interesting personalities on both BFCON and from the mod community which wanted to respond on the 'Ranking' issue.

Just before we want to Air the Show,

i like you to tell a few reactions from officials.

Ofcourse before i spoke to all the people in the show, i had to kick a few people in the legs, to get what i want. Ofcourse, many of the people i asked for an reaction were not available.

i actually send a little questionaire to all EA/DICE offcials i could find.

hello there i am jerry hopper, talkshow host of 'Battletalk'

Since the leaked patch information is out, a lot of listeners are bugging me to get to the bottom of this.
So i have a few questions i like to ask to please our listeners.

The show will be aired in < 7 hours. it would be much appreceated if ANY dice representative could give a reaction to the following questions.
( How marginal the answers may be )

1. Patch 1.3 we have seen a official statement, but these is more information leaked out by bf2rankedservers.com
Shortly after EA removed the images, they popped up again on the same website, only ten minutes later!
These guys are called 'Trusted Partners'

Does DICE have any comments on this ???

2. The 'So Called' Leak Changelog information, is on the frontpage EA Trusted partner site from ID3.nl , and they even put an official newsbulletin out about this 'Official Patch'
My question is : is this 'Full Changelog' Oficial or not?

3. since there are a variaty of Mods aout there that already implemented ranking in their mods. there is actually 1 being release on BFCON.
If there was ANY truth in the changelog, and can you explain the line

"Added deterrent system against alternative ranking"

4. We have seen an email from DICE that stated that ALternative Ranking was approved for a certain group of people.

is this statement being withdrawn? ( source : http://www.battlefieldranking.net/ABR-PICS/FINALLY.jpg )

5. Not in the official, and not in the 'Leaked' info there is even a WORD on the RED/BLUE Tag Bug,

do you have any comments on that?

If you have anything more to state, please feel free, i will put it on the radio.

You can check out my shows at http://www.webturd.com if you want we can arrange a short 'interview' via a voicecommunitcation tool.

Ofcourse all information is handled discretly, and we do understand that you are under NDA. But beside all this, i think its good to hear a EA/DICE official say 'No-Comments' or any other answer.
we are not trying to put EA/DICE in a negative setting. we only want a reaction.

-dont forget to check out my show!

Regards,
Jerry Hopper

I don't 100% believe that leaked change list. For one, the command they list for sending players messages is Python code that has been in the game this entire time, just not operational. Somehow I don't think they'd mistake it for a console command. Also, since when is it a bug when choppers fly into the air after you bail out? This was a feature they added, and is specifically set in the code, so not sure why it is suddenly a "bug" several patches later.

The other stuff sounds nice for the most part, so I'm hoping that the list is real.

Haha, typical EA/DICE vague awnsers.

Have fun at BFCON, I wish I could go, but I'm about 4000 miles away.

i noticed this too

how BS is that? "Added deterrent system against alternative ranking", that sounds like its almost blatently aimed at ABR
