the panzer 2000 is NOT a ww2 tank it is a hi tech artilary tank wich is capable of 30 round a minute with deadly accuacy it also has the ability to lauch smoke deep onto the battle field. the panzer 2000 uses a two man crew the driver who is also the spotter (depending on location) and the gunner who loads the round then shoots it is the perfect teamwork ensured artilary weapon (option:it can use co-ordinates ingame to aim at targets almost like lazing with aircraft.

Ok... Its not because some tank in WWII were called Panzers that the name means a WWII tank
Panzer in english means armour so don't be surprised to see a lot of panzers in german arty today lol
for example:
-Panzerfaust (armoured fist)
-Pionierpanzer (sapper's armour)
-Panzerschnellbrücke
-Fahrschulpanzer...

panzerhaubitze 2000 , not panzer 2000
and creating this vehcile would require a completely new arty system so as to balance it out for other teams.

If this gets in, then the AS90, M109 etc etc will need to be added, and however cool it would be, I think it may well be very low priority, but you never know with the DEVs

I see no point in adding mobile arty if it's not going to be mobile. PR's scale is too small for mobile arty, considering the max range for a m109 is 18km that's a couple PR maps put together. So hopefully you see the point, that including mobile arty wouldn't be realistic.

We have fast jets and attack helicopters whose ranges IRL are well into the dozens of miles.
I don't think it'll be added though. Arty would be fun, but a lot of work for the devs, and likely rarely used properly ingame.

It's a bit different then with the jets though since it's indirect fire support, there'd be no benefit in moving it whatsoever, unless you nerfed the max range quite alot by which point it'd be kinda pointless to even have.

My question is why can't we have arty? POE2 had an arty system that was controlled by players. It isn't hard to balance out, as long as we give every faction (and most armies have some kind of mortar/IED). All we need is a general aiming system, which can be created with something else (E.g, use marker, and line up distance).

That has potnetial for a video, have an M109 shoot a shell from the US main at Kashan, then you have like a flyable projectile go through quining and all the maps or several of them and then land on a tank in the Mec main on kashan, the camera view would be like chase camera on trhe shell. Would be funny

i think this arty controlled by players whould be peaple hoging it all the time e.g. batelfield bad company and considering this is a ww2 wep and pr is set in the present not a good idea and in rl now the army dont have moblie tank artys
