Hey guys.. I think it would be great with a Danish faction.. As you may know, we have soldiers in Irag and afganistan(Mabye more).. so i think it would be a good thing for the mod, mainly becaurse we fight along side with the americans and british. we have many soldiers out on the battlefield.. Just a proposal.

We don't have soldiers in Iraq any more. But we are one of the largest contributers of manpower in Afghanistan (more than many of the factions currently being worked on ). And along with the british and americans we are in some of the most dangerous areas down there in helman and the southern border region near pakistan.

I have proposed this before I'm afraid, and I would love to help out. I have equipment and hardware lists laying around as well as areas of operations. I have several close friends in active duty in both afghanistan and kosovo so military advice is in the house too.

I would recommend aginst this because we are all pretty stretched thin at the moment with the massive amount of factions in the works.

That being said most of our equipment has either been made or is being made at the moment.

I would rather see a Danish faction than the Norwegian one (altough that one is going to be sweet), too bad someone didn't start working on a Danish one earlier. I'm afraid it's too late now.

I believe the danes has some of the highest death rates in Afghanistan compared to the size of their population.

Yea we are only about 5 million people in denmark and we still have about 700 troops deployed in afghanistan alone.
I know nations like germany have 3.500 people there but they can not fight (something about their constitution) so don't see much point in that.
Norway is all up north too and the problems are way down south near pakistan. And they only have 500 there anyway.

I see the main contributers to the actual fighting in afghanistan being: british, canadian, americans, danish and dutch.
We work out of camp bastion under british command.
EDIT: forgot the polish, they operate out of bastion too I think.

We have our heavy equipment deployed down there: F-16's and L2A5's.
Though the F-16's may have been redrawn (not 100% sure there, but I have a friend working on one that was shipped home because its landing gear failed and it slided into a minefield at the end of the runway. messy stuff. sandblasted engine and a unexploded mine stuck in the intake )

Ohh.. sorry i just asumed that we did still have some soldiers in irag still.. But am glad they are out.. Denmark is a fighting country.. We are A Nation of fighters..

Maybe ask brickfield for thier models to make a "special" danish faction

As you may know supahpingi. Vikings were an unbeatable "faction" once.. also.. The danish nation is whats left of a mutation between vikings and spartans ^^

the only soldiers we got in iraq are pilots and i believe 2 choppers to do recon for the americans/small british (if they are still around) that's about it. in afghanistan we are doing a tremendous job compared to how the amount of people that live in our small country.
although i like that we are deployed down there and are doing an effort to bring the country back on track, i do not believe that it is worth doing a new faction just so that we can bolster our national pride even more.
with the amount of people that we have down there it is simply not worth it.
as z-trooper already said we got so many mods in the works that we are already stretched thin. and face it what good could the danish faction ever bring to the PR universe, would be better to focus on bigger countries (india, south africa, egypt, brazil, chile) so that we could get some more territory and scenarious to fight on. but we should not even consider that at the moment because of our limited resources.

Maybe French too ? They are just the third fighting forces in Afghanistan (if you consider that German Forces don't fight, maybe because of WWII...)

to me, you guys blabber like drunken hobos... anyhow, a nice plan for you guys is to wat for the CF faction to get settled, and then retexture their main arm. after that, all that is missing is a retexture of the G-wagen and soldiers.

but there might be more to it, perhaps you have panzers?

I'd like to contribute as much as I can, though it seems that this won't get on track for a good amount of time.
Danes shouldn't be left out no matter how few there is around the world's hotspots. The reality of it is that we fight and die, to help other people, just as much as everyone else.

We use Leopard 2A5's, CV90-35, Piranah's, M113's and Eagle's.

before that we used the Leopard 1 we have never used british tanks AFAIK.

But we swedes are not all like the ones from Skåne who take the bridge over to Denmark to buy cheap beer and act like ********, we despise those people just as much as you do, trust me. ^^

In fact, theres an organization here in Sweden who go down to the border to Skåne every year and dig, trying to cut them off from the rest of Sweden XD

Are you people serious. Why do people have a need to have their own country in the game. If you wanted to play with the danish military hardware then join the army I am pretty sure they will take you

As have been said more countries like india, south africa, argetina or redoing some of the chinese stuff wouldn't hurt either. I think that they would bring something new because they are not just another AR15 wielding nation that drive the same vehicles as some of the factions that are close to getting in the game (germans/canadian). The only unique vehicle we have is the EagleI/IV the rest of our vehicles are used by other countries. The service rifle is the M/95 (C7) M/96 (C8 ) (being replaced by the M/08 (a crossbreed between the two)). the indian army or southafrican is a bit more unique then the danish.

Jep, and besides, we do not have the manpower to work on yet another faction at the moment but as you point out we use a mix of the equipment the all other factions do so a mapper could make a danish map and it would only require a player reskin and flags and kit setup to pull it off.

Well they wouldn't, as I have an error on my right eye So I've joined the national guard j/k. Could be cool to have Danes in this game, 'cause you can't find us in any other game.

Just a reskin would be cool.

I would much rather see this than a Polish or Norwegian faction . Sorry guys, we just need the more apparent factions first, then the smaller ones.
