Just randomly reading a blog on our latest equipment (that we never get to pla...I mean opperate

) with.
M.U.L.E.
MAV (Micro Arial Vehicles)
I was shocked when I read the blog, It seems GRAW wasn't lying haha
but the M.U.L.E. could be supported by someone which stays at the main base or the starting point. Meaning driving it to a destination.
and the MAV...i donno actually just thought it'd be awesome for a SL to have that

Would it be possible to do the MAV like a remote controlled, squad-specific UAV? Like you pilot it around and after a time limit it runs out of fuel and explodes? Or maybe you could fly it back to your squad and hit G to pick it back up like a rope, resetting the fuel timer.
Maybe you could drop it on the ground like a ammo bag, hit e to "get in" it, without actually getting in, and fly it around? I donno, probably not possible to drop a vehicle

Resuggestion,
Please use the Search Function and the Already Suggested Suggestions list before posting suggestions.

Um I did. 3 different keywords too. Search Turned up nothing. And I've been up and down that list for things suggested, Things which cant be changed, and things which are already in game. These weren't on there to my memory.
Go yourself and Search "M.U.L.E." or "MULE" or "MAV" your not going to find anything.
And the MULE im referring to is not the one made by boston college.

3rd from the bottom, UAVs/RADARs
And if you had looked into earlier suggested threads on UAVs, you would have seen that remote operated land vehicles (see non missiles) are not yet possible, thereby making the MULE remote operation impossible to do at this time.

Well If I remember right, Battlefield 2142 has the same engine as BF2 right? They have those guns on the bottom of the titans which you walk to a terminal and use the gun. Thats basically a Unmanned Vehicle.

2142 is using an upgraded bf2 engine.

I would put it more along the lines of the missile turrets on the Essex in Vanilla than a remote operated vehicle. The Titan turrets rotate, but they do not move on their own. In addition, as Crazy said, 2142 uses an updated version of the BF2 engine which allows them to do several things which would be great in PR but can't work due to the difference in the engine.

That sucks...oh well if nothing else enjoy the "flying beer keg" as they troops call it now (MAV)

I wouldn't mind having a flying beer keg to resupply me on the battlefield...

Erm...what if the UAV thingy was simply a heavily modified shoulder fired TV guided missile? Wouldn't that work to the same effect (Not an actual TV guided misslie and such, but in code it would look like that).
Or should I shut up?
EDIT: Oh, also, wasn't the artillery vehicle in Desert Combat Xtended (For 1942) also able to "fire" a UAV type vehicle that could be flown around just like an airplane and used to spot for artillery (in the traditional way). If I remember rightly that seemed to have no problem. The artillery basically "fired" a small plane...

With regards to that MULE thing, it doesn't look like it would be operated in the field. So can we not put another station beside the command post and where it spawns and whoever 'gets in' will be stuck there until it's destroyed. (Or returned to station, if that's possible to code) Just give the team no punishment for losing a soldier (but still lose tickets for the asset) when it blows up and the operator doesn't get a death counted. And re-spawns instantly at the main.
It would be a cool addition. Not sure if that exact one fits into PR, but the coding shouldn't be the deciding factor, when there is an easy work around.
